    • Ryan Weathers coughs up three runs in loss
Ryan Weathers surrendered three runs over six innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Weathers was unable to solve lefty-masher Teoscar Hernández, who delivered a run-scoring single before tagging him for a two-run shot with two outs in the sixth inning. He finished with three strikeouts and only issued one walk. He’ll carry a serviceable 4.54 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 34/16 K/BB ratio across 41 2/3 innings (eight starts) into a road outing on Tuesday against the Tigers. Rotoworld Today, 2:32 pm

    • Falls to Toronto
Nola (4-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Blue Jays, allowing four runs on nine hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Nola held Toronto to one run through his first five innings before starting to unravel in the sixth, allowing hits to three of the first four batters in the frame, and he was ultimately charged with three more runs. It's the first loss since for Nola since his first start of the year March 30. His ERA now sits at 3.72 with a 1.20 WHIP and 47:15 K:BB across eight outings (49 innings) this season. Nola will look to get back in the win column in his next start, currently slated for early next week against the Mets. Rotowire.com Today, 2:11 pm

    • Aaron Nola tagged for four runs in defeat
Aaron Nola allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings Wednesday in a loss versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: It was one run through five, but Nola gave up three singles and a double to produce three runs in the sixth, spoiling a nice day. Nola wound up with seven strikeouts and no walks. He’s totaled 37 strikeouts in his last five starts after recording just 10 in his first three outings. Rotoworld Today, 2:09 pm

    • Throws off mound Wednesday
Rodriguez (shoulder) threw 15 pitches off the mound Wednesday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: It's the first time Rodriguez has thrown off a mound since he landed on the 15-day injured list a week ago with right shoulder inflammation. The hope is that the right-hander will be ready to go when his 15 days are up, but he still has some hurdles to clear in order to make that a reality. Rotowire.com Today, 1:26 pm
    • Martín Pérez charged with four runs versus Angels
Martín Pérez yielded four runs in five-plus innings Wednesday versus the Angels.

Advice: It was two runs through five, but Pérez allowed two singles to start the sixth and both runners came around to score off Luis Ortiz. Pérez struck out five and walked none. His 36/13 K/BB ratio in 45 innings this season is an improvement over his typical ratio, but he’s still not someone we would consider in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 12:19 pm

    • On track to return Friday
Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Wednesday that Marsh (elbow) remains on track to return from the 15-day injured list to start Friday versus the Angels, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Marsh was terrific in his lone rehab start with Triple-A Omaha on Sunday, striking out six over four shutout innings. The right-hander threw only 53 pitches in the outing, so he could be limited a bit from a workload perspective against the Angels. Marsh has missed the last couple weeks with a bruised right elbow. • Approaching rehab assignment
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Miller (shoulder) is coming up on a minor-league rehab assignment "pretty quickly," Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Miller threw a bullpen session Monday, his second since being placed on the injured list with inflammation in his right shoulder April 13. Roberts noted that the right-hander's velocity was "good" in the session and sounded optimistic about Miller's progress in his recovery from the injury. The second-year hurler will make at least one minor-league rehab start, though it's still unclear how many more bullpens he'll throw before he reaches that point. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:18 pm

    • Bobby Miller throws another bullpen session
Bobby Miller (shoulder) threw another bullpen session earlier this week.

Advice: Miller is expected to get in another throwing session later this week before heading out on a minor league rehab assignment. The hard-throwing 25-year-old righty has been out since mid-April due to right shoulder inflammation. It sounds like he’ll be ready to return to the Dodgers’ starting rotation before the end of May. • Grayson Rodriguez unlikely to require rehab start
Grayson Rodriguez (shoulder) continued playing catch on Tuesday.

Advice: Rodriguez expressed optimism to reporters that he could return to Baltimore’s starting rotation following a minimum stay on the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation. It certainly doesn’t sound like there are any long-term concerns with the 24-year-old burgeoning ace. He should be able to jump right back into the Orioles’ stacked rotation mix by mid-May without a minor league rehab assignment. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:26 pm
