    • Approaching rehab assignment
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Miller (shoulder) is coming up on a minor-league rehab assignment "pretty quickly," Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Miller threw a bullpen session Monday, his second since being placed on the injured list with inflammation in his right shoulder April 13. Roberts noted that the right-hander's velocity was "good" in the session and sounded optimistic about Miller's progress in his recovery from the injury. The second-year hurler will make at least one minor-league rehab start, though it's still unclear how many more bullpens he'll throw before he reaches that point. • Homer, five RBI in victory
Carroll went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and five total RBI in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Reds.

Advice: Carroll looked back at home in the leadoff spot Tuesday -- after driving in two runs earlier in the game, the 23-year-old outfielder broke the game open with a three-run homer off the left-handed Justin Wilson in the seventh, his second long ball of the year and first since April 9, extending Arizona's lead to 5-0. After a brutal start to the season, it looks like Carroll may be starting to turn things around at the plate -- he now has at least one hit in six of his last seven contests, going 8-for-27 in that span. He's still slashing an uninspiring .211/.300/.278 through 34 games with 15 runs scored, 12 RBI and eight stolen bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:51 pm
    • Corbin Carroll homers, drives in five 5 in win
Corbin Carroll went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and five RBI in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: This was a much-needed big game for Carroll, who is still slashing just .211/.300/.278 on the season with two home runs and 12 RBI. The home run was well-struck at 104.3 mph off the bat and traveling 390 feet. While that’s great, it was the only ball on the day that Carroll hit over 87 mph. It doesn’t make sense to trade Carroll away while his value is so low, but we’ll need to see more consistent quality contact before we can be sure he’s fully healthy or ready for a hot stretch. However, it is nice to see him back to hitting leadoff, which would be important for his fantasy value. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:29 pm
    • Bobby Miller throws another bullpen session
Bobby Miller (shoulder) threw another bullpen session earlier this week.

Advice: Miller is expected to get in another throwing session later this week before heading out on a minor league rehab assignment. The hard-throwing 25-year-old righty has been out since mid-April due to right shoulder inflammation. It sounds like he’ll be ready to return to the Dodgers’ starting rotation before the end of May. • Sitting again Tuesday
Soler (shoulder) isn't in the Giants' lineup for Tuesday's game against Colorado, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Although Soler's shoulder injury has now kept him out of the lineup for three consecutive games, the Giants have not said anything that would suggest a future move to the IL for the 32-year-old slugger. His absence Tuesday will allow Wilmer Flores to serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:24 pm

    • Jorge Soler (shoulder) out Tuesday vs. Rockies
Jorge Soler (shoulder) remains absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Rockies.

Advice: It’s a tough break for fantasy managers as Soler will wind up missing an extremely favorable matchup against Rockies righty Dakota Hudson at Coors Field. The 32-year-old righty has been out since last weekend due to right shoulder soreness. He remains day-to-day for now. It’s possible he’ll be available off the bench, but that remains to be seen. It’ll be Wilmer Flores at designated hitter in his absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:22 pm

    • Day off Tuesday
Campusano is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: Campusano will hand over catching duties to Kyle Higashioka for the second time in the last three days. After enduring a 1-for-13 (.076) stretch at the plate, Campusano has rebounded with hits in three straight games, tallying five RBI and a pair of runs scored in that stretch. • Grayson Rodriguez unlikely to require rehab start
Grayson Rodriguez (shoulder) continued playing catch on Tuesday.

Advice: Rodriguez expressed optimism to reporters that he could return to Baltimore’s starting rotation following a minimum stay on the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation. It certainly doesn’t sound like there are any long-term concerns with the 24-year-old burgeoning ace. He should be able to jump right back into the Orioles’ stacked rotation mix by mid-May without a minor league rehab assignment. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:26 pm
    • Tigers option Parker Meadows to Triple-A
Tigers optioned OF Parker Meadows to Triple-A

Advice: Meadows put together an extremely impressive performance in Grapefruit League action during spring training, but never quite got going once the regular season rolled around. The 24-year-old speedy center fielder heads back to the minors after batting .096 (7-for-73) with two homers and three steals in 85 plate appearances over 32 contests. He’ll get another shot at some point, but this certainly qualifies as a disappointing development in his long-term outlook. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:10 pm
