    • Getting fifth straight start
Loperfido will start in right field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Loperfido will stick in the starting nine for a fifth straight game after going 4-for-13 with two doubles, one walk, two RBI, one stolen base and one run through his first four games since receiving a call-up from Triple-A Sugar Land. Houston has room in its everyday outfield for both Loperfido and Chas McCormick for the moment, but one of the two will likely lose out on playing time once Kyle Tucker (shin) makes his return from the 10-day injured list, perhaps as soon as next week. • Not in starting nine
Adell is out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Athletics.

Advice: Adell looks to be getting some routine maintenance after starting in each the last four games and 12 of the previous 13 contests. Kevin Pillar will patrol right field for the Angels on Wednesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:49 am
    • Not in Wednesday's lineup
Polanco is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Tampa Bay.

Advice: Polanco played the first two games of the series upon his return from the injured list, going 1-for-8 with one run scored and four strikeouts. He'll receive a breather Wednesday as Dylan Moore fills in at second base. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:20 am
    • Belts first grand slam
Moniak went 1-for-2 with a grand slam and an additional run during Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Moniak flipped the game on its head in the fourth inning, giving the Halos a three-run advantage after swatting his first career grand slam at the expense of Mitch Spence. The center fielder is batting .220 with three home runs, four steals and 18 RBI since Mike Trout (knee) got hurt in late April. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:08 am
    • Mickey Moniak’s first grand slam propels Angels
Mickey Moniak hit his first career grand slam Tuesday to lead the Angels past the A’s 7-5.

Advice: Moniak’s slam was a homer in only six ballparks, says Statcast, but that was mostly because of its low trajectory; Moniak crushed the pitch, which left his bat at 107.9 mph. He’s earned himself some extra playing time by hitting .254/.333/.475 in 66 plate appearances this month. He came in at just .169/.208/.242 over the first two months. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:39 pm
    • On bench against lefty
Butler is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Butler started the previous five games but will take a seat Tuesday after going 3-for-17 with eight strikeouts during that span. Daz Cameron will man right field against Angels southpaw Tyler Anderson. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:58 pm
    • Idle Tuesday
Schneider is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Schneider is 4-for-26 across his last seven games (.153) and will get a breather Tuesday. Instead, Addison Barger will fill left field and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:28 pm

    • Struggles in return from IL
Polanco (hamstring), reinstated from the injured list earlier in the day, went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in a loss to the Rays on Monday.

Advice: Polanco finished up his rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma by belting three home runs and compiling six RBI over his final two games, but that prodigious bat was nowhere to be found in his return to the big leagues Monday. The veteran disappointingly reverted to the struggles that have defined most of his season, and following Monday's trio of punchouts, Polanco now sports a career-worst 31.9 percent strikeout rate. • Jo Adell goes 0-for-4, hitting .111 in June
Jo Adell finished 0-for-4 against the A’s on Monday, leaving him 7-for-63 with one homer in June.

Advice: Adell looked like maybe the AL’s most improved player over the first quarter of the season, but he’s all of the way down to .181/.242/.386 now. At least his defensive gains have remained intact. The Angels ought to keep playing him regularly, probably for the rest of the season, but it’s certainly still up for debate whether he belongs in their plans for 2025 and beyond.
