    • Out of Cubs' lineup
Amaya is not in the lineup for Saturday's game versus the Cardinals.

Advice: Yan Gomes will do the catching for Shota Imanaga. Amaya had started four of the previous five contests but will begin this one on the bench. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago

    • Playing time trending up
Pages will start at catcher and bat ninth in Saturday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: Pages is getting another start after slugging his first major league home run and also catching a shutout Friday. It marks three straight starts for the 25-year-old and five starts across the Cardinals' last six games. Ivan Herrera is also in Saturday's lineup, serving as the designated hitter for the second day in a row. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago
    • Day off Saturday
Langeliers is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Twins.

Advice: Langeliers will get a breather after he went 4-for-13 with a grand slam and five RBI while starting the last three contests. Kyle McCann will take over behind the plate and bat eighth against Minnesota. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago
    • Belts grand slam Friday
Langeliers went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in an extra-inning loss to the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Langeliers got the Athletics' night started on the right foot with his 408-foot shot to left center in the first inning that cleared the bases and established an early 4-0 lead. The backstop's big homer was his first since May 30, and it marked his fourth time hitting safely in the last five games. Langeliers pushed his OPS back up to .708 as well, but he's still carrying a paltry .204 average and .263 on-base percentage. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago
    • Goes deep Friday
Trevino went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in an 8-1 win against Boston on Friday.

Advice: Trevino homered in his final at-bat of the contest, taking Red Sox reliever Chase Anderson deep to left field. The long ball was the catcher's second in his past two starts and his seventh overall this season, putting him well on pace to surpass the career-best mark of 11 that he established in 2022. Austin Wells entered the campaign as the slight favorite for primary catching duties with New York, but Trevino has seized that role with a strong season at the plate, as he's complemented his homer total with 18 runs, 24 RBI and a .271/.319/.434 slash line through 142 plate appearances. • Belts first homer of year
Marchan went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings win over the Orioles.

Advice: The 25-year-old backstop took Kyle Bradish deep in the fifth inning, giving Marchan his first hit and first long ball with the Phillies this season. He's started two of four games since J.T. Realmuto (knee) was sidelined, and he could split work behind the plate fairly equally with Garrett Stubbs unless one of them seizes the starting job. • Henry Davis exits Friday with possible concussion
Henry Davis was removed from Friday’s game against the Rockies with concussion-like symptoms.

Advice: Davis will continue to be monitored over the weekend and it’s possible he’ll require at least a precautionary trip to the 7-day concussion injured list to allow Pittsburgh to bring in some emergency catching depth. The 24-year-old former top prospect, who was a popular sleeper candidate this spring in fantasy drafts, has gone 2-for-17 with one homer and 11 strikeouts in six games since returning from Triple-A Indianapolis back on June 4. There should be an update on his status at some point this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 5:56 am

    • Smashes homer in win
Garver went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and two walks in Friday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Garver is up to eight homers this season, and he's hit three of them over his last eight games. In that stretch, he's batting .250 (6-for-24) with eight RBI and two doubles. It's encouraging to see more power out of the 33-year-old -- he went 18 games without a homer between May 13 and June 5. Garver is slashing a poor .176/.300/.352 across 230 plate appearances this season, though he's added 25 RBI, 23 runs scored and 10 doubles while seeing fairly steady playing time at designated hitter. • Mitch Garver connects on two-run homer in win
Mitch Garver hit a two-run homer to help the Mariners to a 3-2 win over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Garver tied the game at 2-2 in the first inning with a blast that scored J-Rod in the first inning. The veteran backstop/DH has been swinging the bat much better as of late, and he’s now homered eight times with 25 RBI. Garver’s slash of .176/.300/.352 isn’t aesthetically pleasing, but again, those numbers aren’t indicative of the last few weeks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:39 pm
