    • Back in starting lineup Friday
Drury (hamstring) is starting as the designated hitter and batting fifth in Friday's game against the Twins, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After returning to action for all three games against the Reds last weekend, Drury missed the past three contests against the Orioles due to a lingering left hamstring injury. The three-game absence, along with the Angels' off day Thursday, seems to have done the trick for Drury, as he'll start at DH for the series opener Friday versus Minnesota. The 31-year-old is slashing .194/.270/.269 with two doubles, six runs, one home run and four RBI over 74 plate appearances to begin the season. Rotowire.com Today, 2:15 pm

    • Remains out of lineup
Yoshida is not in the lineup for Friday's contest against the Cubs.

Advice: It marks the fourth straight game that Yoshida has been absent from the lineup. Rafael Devers is getting another start at designated hitter Friday and the Red Sox don't seem to trust Yoshida's defense in the outfield, leading to him receiving just one plate appearance so far this week. The plan is for Devers to return to third base Saturday, with Yoshida being used at DH that day. Rotowire.com Today, 11:58 am
    • José Ramírez drives in four in win over Red Sox
José Ramírez went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and a steal in a win over the Red Sox on Thursday.

Advice: Ramirez crushed a second-inning pitch from Chase Anderson 384 feet at 107.8 mph off the bat for his fifth home run of the season. He’s now slashing .260/.271/.471 on the season with 23 RBI and three steals. Ramirez has been hyper-aggressive this season, raising his chase rate and his overall swing rate by 10 percent. As a result, he has just a two percent walk rate and is making less hard contact than he did last year. He still makes an elite amount of contact, but you do have to wonder if the increased aggression will make it harder for him to reach that .280-.300 batting average that we’re used to seeing. • Framber Valdez to start Sunday in Mexico City
Framber Valdez (elbow) will start on Sunday against the Rockies in Mexico City.

Advice: Astros manager Joe Espada confirmed Thursday that Valdez will return this weekend after spending just over two weeks on the shelf with left elbow inflammation. The 30-year-old southpaw completed a 40-pitch bullpen session earlier this week and figures to have some workload limitations this weekend in Mexico City’s extremely hitter-friendly high-altitude environment. His return will provide Houston’s injury-depleted starting rotation with a significant lift, but he’s probably best left on the bench this weekend for fantasy purposes. • Powers Cleveland to win
Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a grand slam, a stolen base and an additional run scored in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Ramirez extended the Guardians' lead to 5-0 in the second inning, blasting a two-out grand slam on the 10th pitch of the at-bat from Chase Anderson. While it had been a slow start to the year by Ramirez's standards, he now has six extra-base hits, including three home runs, and three stolen bases in his last 10 contests. The veteran third baseman is now slashing .260/.271/.471 with five home runs, 23 RBI and 18 runs scored across 107 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:28 pm

    • Starting Sunday in Mexico City
Astros manager Joe Espada said that Valdez (elbow) will return from the 15-day injured list to start Sunday's game against the Rockies in Mexico City, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Valdez has been on the IL since April 9 due to inflammation in his left elbow. He built up to 40 pitches in his last bullpen session Wednesday, so his first start back from the injured list will likely be an abbreviated one. In any case, his return will still give Houston's rotation a much-needed boost following the recent move of Cristian Javier (neck) to the IL. Valdez surrendered three earned runs and struck out 10 batters over 12.1 innings across his first two starts before getting injured. Given Valdez's expected workload restriction Sunday in addition to the high altitude in Mexico City likely creating a hitter-friendly environment, fantasy managers may want to hold off on immediately activating the southpaw. • Absent from lineup again
Yoshida is out of the lineup for Thursday's game in Cleveland.

Advice: Red Sox manager Alex Cora insisted prior to Wednesday's game against the Guardians that Yoshida was still the team's everyday designated hitter. However, he's now out of the lineup for a third straight contest and for the sixth time in eight games, with all but one of those absences coming versus righties. Rafael Devers will start at DH again Thursday as he comes back from a knee issue, and Yoshida presumably will be back in the lineup once Devers is ready to return to third base. Clearly, the club has little faith in Yoshida's glove, as he's played just one inning in left field this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:11 am
    • Homer, three hits in win
Henderson went 3-for-3 in Wednesday's win over the Angels with a home run, a double, three RBI and three runs scored. He also stole a base.

Advice: Henderson was hit by a pitch in the opening at-bat to start the game and wasted no time in getting his revenge, taking Tyler Anderson deep for a leadoff home run in his next trip to the plate to put the Orioles up 1-0. The star shortstop would then add a double and a two-run single in his next two-at bats while also being hit by a pitch for the second time in the contest. Henderson has now homered in back-to-back games and also extended his hitting streak to five games with Wednesday's performance. Even more impressive is the fact that he's tallied multiple hits in seven of his last 10 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:29 am

    • Performance turning around
Diaz went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Wednesday against the Tigers.

Advice: Diaz got off to a slow start to the season, but he now has at least one hit in seven of his last eight starts. In that span, he also has four multi-hit performances and a .314 batting average. Counting stats haven't followed Diaz's turnaround at the plate, but as the locked-in leadoff hitter, that should also change as the season progresses. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:07 am
