    • Might throw off mound this weekend
Eovaldi (groin) could be ready to throw off a mound this weekend, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: Eovaldi did some more flat-ground throwing Monday and might be ready to take the next step forward by getting back on a mound to toss a bullpen session. While he looks to be trending in the right direction, Eovaldi doesn't look as though he'll be ready to return from the 15-day injured list when first eligible on Saturday. He's coming back from a strained right groin. Rotowire.com Today, 3:38 pm
    • Undergoing MRI on injured back
Carter will undergo an MRI on his back Monday, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: Carter is out of the lineup for a fourth straight game Monday against the Guardians, with the last three absences due to a lower-back problem. The fact that the injury has necessitated an MRI points to a possible stint on the 10-day injured list, but more information on Carter's should be known once the results are in. Ezequiel Duran will start in left field for the Rangers on Monday. Rotowire.com Today, 3:34 pm

    • Remains out with injury Monday
Carter (back) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Carter is on the bench for the fourth game in a row, with each of the last three absences being attributed to lower-back stiffness. The Rangers are still labeling the 21-year-old as day-to-day, but a trip to the 10-day injured list shouldn't be discounted, given that the team was concerned enough about the issue to have Carter visit with a back specialist Monday, per ESPN.com. Carter previously dealt with a stress fracture in his back during the 2021 season. Rotowire.com Today, 1:23 pm

    • Struggling in May
Reynolds went 0-for-5 with a strikeout Sunday against the Cubs.

Advice: Reynolds has struggled in his last 10 games, collecting only seven hits across 38 at-bats with no home runs and no RBI. He remains locked in as the No. 2 hitter in the Pirates' lineup and has a .267 xBA and .361 xWOBA, so a turnaround in production should be in order. Rotowire.com Today, 7:53 am

    • Punches out 10
Kremer (3-3) took the loss Sunday against Arizona, allowing six runs (three earned) on four hits and four walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out 10.

Advice: Kremer notched double-digit strikeouts for the second time this season, tying his career high in the category. He fell off after retiring the first nine batters he faced, allowing at least two baserunners in each of the following innings before getting the yank in the sixth. He was pulled after allowing a two-run homer to Jake McCarthy and walking Kevin Newman consecutively. Despite having allowed nine homers in 46.0 innings this season, Kremer owns a solid 3.72 ERA and a 47:15 K:BB. Kremer's next start is scheduled to come Saturday against Seattle. • Dean Kremer strikes out 10 in loss
Dean Kremer allowed six runs (three earned) on four hits in 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Advice: Kremer was hurt by two separate errors, including one by Ramon Urias on a potential inning-ending double play ball in the fifth inning with Arizona up just 1-0. With two outs in the sixth inning, he also allowed a home run to Jake McCarthy and then a walk to Kevin Newman, who came around to score against the Orioles bullpen. All told, it was a much better performance by Kremer than the statline indicates and his 28 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW were pretty strong on the day. He’s a solid streamer next week against the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:01 pm
    • Held out for third straight game
Carter (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: With lefty Austin Gomber starting for Colorado in Friday's 4-2 loss, Carter was held out of the starting nine, but he logged an at-bat off the bench as a pinch-hitter. He may have tweaked his back at some point during that appearance, however, as he'll remain on the bench for a third straight day. Robbie Grossman will fill in for the banged-up Carter in left field. • Evan Carter out again Sunday with back stiffness
Evan Carter (back) is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Rockies.

Advice: Carter was scratched from the lineup Saturday with stiffness in his lower back, and the 21-year-old will miss at least one more game. Robbie Grossman is hitting sixth and starting in left field in Carter’s absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:28 am

    • Notches first big-league steal
Pages went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 5-0 win against the Padres.

Advice: Pages withstood a Padres review challenge to pick up his first theft as a major-leaguer following an eighth-inning single. The 23-year-old hasn't been a big base-stealer as a pro, topping out at seven thefts in the minors, though he does have 83rd percentile sprint speed, per Statcast. Pages continues to see everyday playing time for the Dodgers, but he's tailed off a bit of late with a .158/.261/.158 slash line and 34.8 percent strikeout rate over his past six games.
