    • Pulled after four innings
Bibee did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Tigers, allowing four runs on five hits in four innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Bibee looked sharp early Wednesday, allowing just one hit through his first three innings. However, things went south in the fourth, when Bibee allowed four runs on four hits. While Cleveland would ultimately rally for a win in extra innings, it was another disappointing start from Bibee -- he's now allowed 10 runs over nine innings in his last two outings. Overall, the 25-year-old right-hander is 2-1 with a 4.91 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 44:13 K:BB in eight starts (40.1 innings) this season. Bibee's currently slated for a tough road matchup against the Rangers early next week. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago
    • Teoscar Hernández homers, Dodgers fillet Marlins
Teoscar Hernández went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Wednesday, powering the Dodgers to a 3-1 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Hernández was a one-man wrecking crew, taking full advantage of a tasty matchup for him against young southpaw Ryan Weathers, delivering a run-scoring single in the opening frame before crushing a two-run blast in the sixth inning. It was the lefty-mashing veteran slugger’s 10th round-tripper of the season and fourth time he’s gone deep in his last six contests. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago
    • Tanner Bibee pulled after four against Tigers
Tanner Bibee gave up four runs in four innings Wednesday in a no-decision against the Tigers.

Advice: Bibee cruised through three innings, allowing just one single, but everything went wrong in the fourth, which started with a single to conclude a 10-pitch at-bat. The Tigers wound up getting three more hits, as well as a key HBP, to produce a four-run inning in which Bibee threw more pitches (43) than in the first three combined (39). It was such a long inning that the Guardians didn’t bring Bibee back out for the fifth. Unfortunately, Bibee will miss the four-game series against the White Sox this weekend and make his next start in Texas against the Rangers. Rotoworld Today, 1:38 pm
    • Cardinals and Mets postponed on Wednesday
Wednesday’s scheduled contest between the Cardinals and Mets in New York was postponed due to rain.

Advice: The game will be made up on August 5. The Cardinals’ scheduled starter, Sonny Gray, will pitch on Thursday against the Brewers. Mets’ scheduled starter Jose Quintana will pitch on Friday, pushing rookie right-hander Christian Scott back to Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 1:19 pm

    • Mets-Cardinals game postponed
Gray and the Cardinals won't play the Mets on Wednesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The game will be made up on Aug. 5, which had been a mutual off day for the two clubs. As a result of the postponement, Gray is expected to be pushed back one day in the pitching schedule to start Thursday in Milwaukee. Rotowire.com Today, 12:55 pm

    • Out against left-hander
Carter is out of the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Athletics.

Advice: The Athletics are sending southpaw JP Sears to the hill, so the left-handed hitting Carter will begin the early game of the twin bill on the bench. He should be back in the lineup for the nightcap versus right-hander Osvaldo Bido. Rotowire.com Today, 10:44 am

    • Lifts another homer
Naylor went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 11-7 loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Naylor has gone 6-for-24 with three homers and seven RBI over his last seven contests. He was swinging a hot bat earlier in the season, but he's traded a bit of contact for more power in recent weeks. Naylor is slashing .276/.364/.553 with nine homers, 28 RBI, 18 runs scored, seven doubles and two steals over 34 games. With top prospect Kyle Manzardo slumping to begin his major-league career, Naylor should continue to play on a near-everyday basis between first base and designated hitter. • Mark Canha still out with illness Wednesday
Mark Canha is out of Wednesday’s lineup with an upper respiratory infection.

Advice: This appears to be why the 35-year-old was out of the lineup Tuesday as well. “He’s not feeling well,” manager AJ Hinch said. “It hasn’t been a great road trip health-wise (for the team), so we’re kind of quarantining him at this point to get him away from the rest of us until further notice.” If this is the case, Canha could be out a couple more games. The Tigers finish up their road trip at Cleveland and head back home for a weekend series against with the Astros. Rotoworld Today, 9:00 am

    • Battles control in no-decision
Lopez came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Red Sox, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and four walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The four free passes were a season high for Lopez, who tossed 54 of 91 pitches for strikes before exiting. The right-hander has failed to last six innings in either of his last two outings after beginning the season with four straight quality starts, but he still sports a 1.53 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 36:14 K:BB through 35.1 innings. He'll look to tighten things up in his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Cubs. Rotowire.com Today, 8:28 am
