    • Luis Torrens homers twice to lead Mets
Luis Torrens clobbered a pair of solo home runs on Wednesday, helping to power the Mets to a 9-1 victory over the Nationals in Washington.

Advice: The 28-year-old backstop opened the scoring in the ballgame in the third inning with a 398-foot (103.0 mph EV) solo shot off of Nationals’ left-hander Patrick Corbin. He then replicated the feat in the sixth inning — that time a 404-foot (101.6 mph EV) blast that increased the Mets’ advantage to 3-0. Torrens finished the afternoon 2-for-4 and is now hitting a robust .300/.364/1.000 with a pair of homers and four RBI in his limited action this season. Rotoworld 5 minutes ago

    • Harrison Bader plates three runs in win Wednesday
Harrison Bader went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBI on Wednesday in a lopsided victory over the Nationals.

Advice: Bader plated the Mets’ second run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. He then helped to break the game open with a two-run double during the team’s six-run uprising in the sixth inning. On the season, the 30-year-old outfielder is now hitting .272/.317/.376 with three long balls, 23 RBI and eight stolen bases. Rotoworld 5 minutes ago

    • Joey Gallo plates lone run in loss to Mets
Joey Gallo went 1-for-2 and drove in the Nationals’ lone run in Wednesday afternoon’s loss to the Mets.

Advice: Gallo led off the sixth inning with a single but was quickly erased on a double play ball. He then drove in a run with a sacrifice fly off of Luis Severino in the eighth inning to finally get the Nats on the board. The 30-year-old slugger has been about as expected this season — hitting .164/.285/.336 with five homers, 11 RBI and a 65/19 K/BB ratio over 151 plate appearances. Rotoworld 6 minutes ago

    • Patrick Corbin hit hard in loss to Mets Wednesday
Patrick Corbin was hit hard in Wednesday’s loss to the Mets, surrendering six runs on seven hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: The 34-year-old southpaw issued one base on balls on the afternoon while striking out three. He had allowed just one run — a third-inning solo blast by Luis Torrens — through his first four innings of work, but things fell apart quickly after that. The Mets scratched out a run on a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning then poured it on while chasing Corbin in the sixth inning — including homers from Torrens and Francisco Lindor. Corbin generated just six swings and misses on 77 pitches in the ballgame, registering a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll carry a bloated 6.15 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and a 44/27 K/BB ratio (71 2/3 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the Tigers in Detroit. Rotoworld 6 minutes ago

    • Graham Ashcraft lasts 3 2/3 innings vs. Rockies
Graham Ashcraft surrendered four runs over 3 2/3 innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Rockies.

Advice: Ashcraft’s velocity was down for the second straight outing and he only lasted into the fourth inning at Coors Field before being chases. He gave up six hits, but somehow managed to keep the ball in the yard. He notched a pair of strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. The 26-year-old righty simply isn’t a recommended option for fantasy managers when he bring an inflated 5.05 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 49/21 K/BB ratio across 62 1/3 innings (12 starts) into a home matchup on Tuesday against the Guardians. • Dakota Hudson allows four runs in no-decision
Dakota Hudson gave up four runs over 4 1/3 innings on Wednesday and didn’t factor into the decision against the Reds.

Advice: Hudson was tagged for five hits, including homers to Jeimer Candelario and TJ Fiedl in an abbreviated outing. He struck out four and also handed out four free passes. The 29-year-old righty has struggled to a 5.25 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 35/33 K/BB ratio across 61 2/3 innings (12 starts) in his Colorado debut. He’s been a valuable innings-eater for the Rockies, but can be safely ignored for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

    • Fights control in loss
Ashby (0-2) took the loss Wednesday as the Brewers were downed 2-0 by the Phillies, giving up two runs on two hits and five walks over five innings. He struck out three.

Advice: The southpaw was recalled from Triple-A Nashville earlier in the day but had trouble finding the plate, tossing 49 of 91 pitches for strikes, and Ashby eventually paid for the free passes in the fifth inning when Garrett Stubbs led off the frame with a walk before Nick Castellanos clubbed a two-run homer. With Robert Gasser (elbow) the latest Milwaukee pitcher to land on the IL, Ashby figures to get multiple turns in the rotation. He lines up to make his next outing at home early next week against the Blue Jays. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago

    • Beginning rehab assignment
The Rangers assigned Foscue (oblique) to the organization's affiliate in the Arizona Complex League for a rehab assignment Wednesday.

Advice: The 25-year-old landed on the injured list with an oblique strain shortly after making his MLB debut April 6, but he's now been cleared for game action. Foscue will be eligible to be reinstated from the 60-day injured list next week, but he may require more games in the minors before being cleared to rejoin the big club. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

    • Diagnosed with ankle sprain
Bouchard suffered a right high-ankle sprain during Wednesday's game against the Reds, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: Bouchard suffered the injury during the eighth inning of Wednesday's contest when his foot slipped off first base following a sacrifice bunt. He'll almost certainly have to spend time on the injured list, opening the door for Jake Cave to make regular starts in left field for the Rockies. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago
