    • Brandon Lowe’s exit ‘precautionary’ Friday at AAA
Brandon Lowe (oblique) made a precautionary exit from Friday’s minor league rehab game for Triple-A Durham.

Advice: Lowe appears to be fine, but the Rays didn’t want to take any chances with wet field conditions, which led to the veteran second baseman’s removal after just one at-bat during Friday’s contest. He’s gone 2-for-5 with a grand slam in a pair of rehab contests so far and figures to be ready to return to Tampa Bay’s lineup at some point next week. He’s been on the shelf since early April due to an oblique strain. Rotoworld Today, 5:08 am

    • Drives in two
Gonzales went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Friday against the Cubs.

Advice: Gonzales was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis Friday and immediately entered the starting lineup, hitting fifth while starting at second base. He delivered a two-RBI single in the first inning but also struck out twice. Gonzales should have a chance to seize regular playing time as the Pirates continue to try to get their offense on track. • Early exit from rehab outing
Lowe (oblique) was pulled from Friday's rehab appearance with Triple-A Durham for precautionary reasons, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Lowe has been on a rehab assignment since Tuesday and went 2-for-5 with a home run across three appearances. It's unclear why he was pulled or if it will push back his timeline to return. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:41 pm

    • Clubs go-ahead homer
Frazier went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 2-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Frazier put the Royals ahead with his ninth-inning blast. The second baseman has gone 3-for-7 over his last two games after enduring an 0-for-15 skid over his previous six contests. Frazier's playing time has been irregular since he lost the starting job at the keystone to Michael Massey, but he's been able to draw in with time in the corner outfield and at designated hitter. Frazier's at a .188/.309/.250 slash line with one homer, eight RBI, eight runs scored, a stolen base and two doubles through 94 plate appearances this season, so his lack of an everyday role shouldn't come as a surprise. • Swats fourth homer
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman hasn't been able to turn his hitting around in May -- he's gone 4-for-26 (.154) through nine games this month and is batting just .193 on the year. His homer Friday was his first since April 19, and two of his hits in May have gone for extra bases. The 24-year-old has four homers, 13 RBI, 18 runs scored and four steals through 126 plate appearances. It's fair to question whether Freeman has earned his near-everyday role, but the Guardians are unlikely to shake things up too dramatically while Steven Kwan (hamstring) is out. • Notches fourth steal
Rojas went 2-for-5 with a stolen base in Friday's 8-1 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Rojas has five multi-hit efforts over eight games in May, going 13-for-31 (.419) with two steals and two extra-base hits in that span. The light-hitting 29-year-old is playing well atop the Mariners' lineup versus right-handed pitchers while splitting time between third base and left field. Friday's effort has him at a .351/.417/.526 slash line with three home runs, four steals, eight RBI and 12 runs scored over 108 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:54 pm

    • Three hits, five RBI in win
Moore went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI in Friday's 8-1 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Moore hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning, then added a two-run single in the fifth and an RBI single in the seventh. He had recorded just one multi-hit effort and a total of four RBI over his previous 12 contests. The 31-year-old lifted his slash line to .226/.333/.429 with three homers, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored and five stolen bases through 99 plate appearances. Moore continues to operate as the Mariners' top shortstop while J.P. Crawford (oblique) is on the mend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:51 pm

    • Two more hits, stolen base for Rojas against A’s
Josh Rojas picked up two hits and stole a base in a blowout win Friday against the Athletics.

Advice: The steal is the fourth of the season for the 29-year-old. The pair of hits now has him hitting .351, and while this isn’t sustainable, it’s hard to do anything but applaud the production. The question now will be where Rojas hits in the lineup when J.P. Crawford (oblique) comes off the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:28 pm

    • Dylan Moore homers, drives in five in rout of A’s
Dylan Moore homered and drove in five runs in an 8-1 rout for the Mariners on Friday against the Athletics.

Advice: Moore shellacked a three-run homer against Paul Blackburn in the third to extend Seattle’s lead to 5-0. The versatile 31-year-old added run-scoring singles in the fifth and seventh inning, and the five RBI are a career-high. Moore will likely lose the starting shortstop gig when J.P. Crawford comes off the injured list in the coming days, but he should see playing time in a Seattle lineup that has mostly struggled in 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:28 pm
