    • Heston Kjerstad collects two hits, doubles in loss
Heston Kjerstad went 2-for-4 with a double on Monday in the Orioles’ loss to the Guardians.

Advice: It’s time for Baltimore to figure out what they have with Kjerstad in an everyday role at this juncture since he literally has nothing left to prove at Triple-A Norfolk. The 25-year-old figures to get an opportunity to play most days against right-handed pitching in a corner outfield or designated hitter role and his minor-league track record suggests he’s going to hit for some over-the-fence pop. There might be an adjustment period here as he acclimates to facing high-level pitching everyday, but he’s one of the more talented hitting prospects in the game. It feels like only a matter of time before he’s an impact four-category fantasy contributor in the heart of Baltimore’s sublime young nucleus. Rotoworld Monday, 6:27 pm

    • On bench Monday, could sit vs. RHPs
Sheets is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Sheets will hit the bench while the Dodgers send southpaw James Paxton to the mound. Sheets had started the previous five games while the White Sox faced off against right-handed pitchers, but he'll likely begin to sit out some of those matchups more frequently after Chicago returned Eloy Jimenez from the injured list Sunday. With Jimenez occupying the designated-hitter spot, Andrew Vaughn locked in at first base and Andrew Benintendi and Tommy Pham serving as the White Sox's primary starters in the corner outfield, all four of Sheets' avenues for regular playing time would seem to be blocked. • Idle against lefty
Biggio is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Biggio will once again hit the bench while the Dodgers face off against a lefty starter (Garrett Crochet) for the third time in four games. Platoon mate Enrique Hernandez gets the nod at third base in Biggio's stead. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:20 pm

    • Eloy Jiménez in lineup despite hamstring soreness
Eloy Jiménez is in the starting lineup as a DH on Monday after experiencing hamstring soreness in his return Sunday.

Advice: It’ll be a small miracle if Jiménez doesn’t wind up aggravating the hamstring bad enough to go back on the injured list, but we’ll see. He’s batting cleanup tonight. Rotoworld Monday, 2:14 pm

    • Settling in at third base
Barger will start at third base and bat sixth in Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Barger will stay in the lineup for the seventh time in nine games, with each of his last four starts coming at third base. He looks like he'll be a priority over Ernie Clement at the hot corner while Isiah Kiner-Falefa shifts over to shortstop as a replacement for Bo Bichette (calf), who remains on the injured list. Since getting recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on June 14, Barger has gone 7-for-20 with a double, a walk, a stolen base, three RBI and three runs. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:38 pm

    • Filling in for banged-up Varsho
Kiermaier will start in center field and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Kiermaier will get a third consecutive start, but he'll most likely be the odd man out of the Toronto outfield once Daulton Varsho (back) -- who is out of the lineup for a second straight day -- returns to action. Since returning from the injured list May 4, Kiermaier is slashing .177/.224/.329 over a stretch of 35 games. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:35 pm
    • Will be in Monday's lineup
Jimenez (hamstring) will be in the lineup for Monday's contest against the Dodgers, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: The White Sox haven't yet released their lineup for the series opener, but Jimenez has evidently received the green light to make a second consecutive start. Jimenez was noticeably gimpy while running the bases in Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Tigers in his first game back from a stint on the injured list due to a left hamstring strain. The apparent aggravation of the hamstring injury won't cause him to miss any starts, at least not yet. Certainly, Jimenez will remain a major injury risk as he attempts to play through some discomfort. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:11 am

    • Orioles officially promote Kjerstad from AAA
Orioles recalled 1B/OF Heston Kjerstad from Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: The rumored move is now official, as the Orioles promote Kjerstad - again - after hitting .301/.390/.601 with 16 homers, 58 RBI, and a pair of stolen bases in 55 games. The bad news for fantasy managers is that the Orioles did not demote Colton Cowser in a corresponding move, meaning the team would need to decide to sit Cowser on the bench and not give him at-bats for Kjerstad to see regular playing time. It would seem to make no sense for one of Kjerstad or Cowser to sit on a major league bench and not play regularly but that might be the situation we’re heading towards. Or they will both split time often enough that each of their fantasy values will take a considerable hit. We’ll have to see how it plays out this week before knowing for sure. • Officially summoned from Triple-A
The Orioles recalled Kjerstad from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

Advice: Kjerstad will get another shot with the big club but it's uncertain whether he'll see regular at-bats. He played sparingly during his last stint, starting just four times over a 17-game stretch. Colton Cowser has slashed just .183/.285/.299 since the beginning of May, so it's possible Kjerstad will eat into his playing time in the outfield. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:14 am
