He's usually hit leadoff this season, but he was dropped to sixth in the order Saturday, with Isiah Kiner-Falefa moving up to the top spot and slugging two homers of his own. Schneider's .227 batting average isn't great for a leadoff hitter, though his .319 on-base percentage is a bit more passable. He's added 10 homers, 35 RBI, 32 runs scored, three stolen bases and 15 doubles over 251 plate appearances. While he could ultimately stick lower in the order, Schneider's short-term playing time should be safe after Daulton Varsho left Saturday's contest with back soreness.       Heliot Ramos blasted a three-run homer on Thursday in the Giants’ loss to the Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama.

      Advice: Ramos put San Francisco on the board with a no-doubter to right field in the third inning off Cardinals starter Andre Pallante for his 10th round-tripper of the season. The 24-year-old post-hype prospect has put together a pretty remarkable breakout campaign so far, batting .307 (46-for-150) with 10 homers, 35 RBI and one steal through 39 games.       Guardians 1B/OF prospect Jhonkensy Noel went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI on Thursday for Triple-A Columbus.

      Advice: Noel’s stock slipped a bit last year as he struggled in the upper minors, but he’s really turned things around this year, cutting back on the strikeouts and still hitting for power. The 22-year-old slugger has 17 round-trippers in 62 games so far this season at Triple-A Columbus. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get a shot in Cleveland at some point later this year.     • Brenton Doyle brings home winning run vs. Dodgers
      Brenton Doyle went 0-for-3 with two RBI against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

      Advice: Doyle went hitless on Wednesday, but still had two of the Rockies’ biggest at-bats. He brought in the tying run in the seventh inning with a sacrifice fly. With the game still tied in the bottom of the ninth, he brought the winning run in to score with his second sacrifice fly.       Advice: The homer was Doyle's first since May 15, and it was also his first extra-base hit since June 3.
