    • Phillips picks up 12th save Thurday
Evan Phillips tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Phillips’ save was his 12th of the year. He struck out two Rockies in the scoreless frame. Phillips hasn’t blown a save opportunity yet this year and his ERA is down to 1.80. Rotoworld Thursday, 3:26 pm
    • Alex Bregman collects three hits against White Sox
Alex Bregman went 3-for-5 in a win over the White Sox on Thursday.

Advice: All three hits for Bregman were singles. He also scored a run, and continues to look considerably better at the plate in the month of June. The 30-year-old entered the month with a .662 OPS, but he’s hit .322/.394/.492 since. That’ll play. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:04 pm
    • Maikel Garcia gets a day off on Thursday
Maikel Garcia is not in the Royals’ lineup for Thursday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: The 24-year-old is hitting just .145 in 16 games in June with 12 strikeouts. He does have four steals and 10 runs scored and is coming off a month of May where he hit .305, so this might be nothing but a brief cold stretch. The Royals will hope a day off helps him get back on track. In the meantime, Garrett Hampson will start at second base and hit eighth with Nick Loftin moving over to third base. • Resting Thursday
Raleigh is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Raleigh had started in each of the last five games and was behind the plate Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so he'll be given a maintenance day as the Mariners wrap up their series in Cleveland. Mitch Garver will pick up a start at catcher Thursday. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:51 am

    • Bypassed in save opportunity
Neris was not used to close out Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants, with Colten Brewer getting the save instead.

Advice: Neris took the loss and blew a save against the Giants on Monday, allowing three runs (two earned) in an inning of work, and he's allowed a total of seven earned runs over his last three outings. The veteran's ERA has climbed to 4.73 as a result of his recent struggles, and he's blown four saves this year in 14 chances. Chicago manager Craig Counsell said following Monday's game that he didn't plan on making a change at closer, according to James Neveau of Yahoo Sports, but this situation could be fluid. Brewer is at least worth keeping an eye on in the short term. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:39 pm

    • Justin Steele strikes out eight in no-decision
Justin Steele gave up two runs over 6 2/3 innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Giants.

Advice: Steele carried a shutout into the fifth inning before backup catcher Curt Casali delivered a game-tying two-run double, which was enough to extinguish any chance of picking up a win since Chicago’s offense didn’t pull ahead until the eighth inning. He generated 14 swinging strikes, with 13 of them coming on his four-seam fastball/slider combo, and finished with a 31 percent CSW. He’ll carry a strong 3.16 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 56/15 K/BB ratio across 57 innings (10 starts) into a rematch on Monday against the Giants at pitcher-friendly Oracle Park. • Collects first win
Harris (1-0) allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings, earning the win Tuesday over the Royals.

Advice: Harris has generally pitched well this season, but he had nothing to show for it before Tuesday. He allowed a two-run home run to Nick Loftin in this contest. Harris hasn't allowed more than three runs in any of his last five outings, and he's at a 2.37 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 26:11 K:BB through 30.1 innings over six appearances (four starts) this season. The southpaw is projected to make his next start at home versus the Twins. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:48 pm

    • Grabs one-out save
Phillips struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Alex Vesia issued a two-out walk, and Phillips was able to strike out Hunter Goodman on five pitches to secure the save after the Dodgers' ninth-inning comeback. Aside from a three-run misstep in Pittsburgh on June 6, Phillips has pitched well since his return from a hamstring injury. He's at 11 saves with a 1.89 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB over 19 innings this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:09 pm
    • Hogan Harris gets first victory of 2024
Hogan Harris yielded three runs — one earned — in five innings Tuesday in a victory over the Royals.

Advice: It’s the first win and decision in four starts and two relief appearances for Harris this season. The 27-year-old had a 7.14 ERA in six starts and eight relief appearances for Oakland last year, but he’s at 2.37 right now, having struck out 26 and walked 11 in 30 1/3 innings. He still seems like someone to avoid for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:55 pm
