    • Hammered by Atlanta
Rodon (9-4) took the loss Friday as the Yankees fell 8-1 to Atlanta, surrendering eight runs (seven earned) on 11 hits -- including three home runs -- and two walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: The Atlanta offense came to life at the wrong time for Rodon, as he got taken deep by Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley and Matt Olson before exiting the game after 93 pitches (56 strikes). The southpaw hadn't served up multiple homers in a start since May 2. After a run of seven straight quality starts, he's been tagged for 12 earned runs in 8.2 innings over his last two outings. Rodon will try to rebound in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Toronto. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:41 am

    • Shows well in return to majors
Knack allowed two hits and two walks while striking out two over five scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Friday.

Advice: Knack put in a strong effort, but the Dodgers' offense was unusually quiet. He left the game with a 2-0 lead, only for Ryan Yarbrough to cough it up in the sixth inning. Knack has a 2.10 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB over 25.2 innings across five starts in the majors this season. With both Yoshinobu Yamamoto (shoulder) and Walker Buehler (hip) landing on the injured list in the last week, Knack has a chance to establish himself in the Dodgers' rotation, as Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) and Dustin May (elbow) are likely to be rehabbing into July. However, with three of the next 10 days off, the Dodgers can get by with a four-man rotation for the rest of the month, so it's unclear if Knack will get the opportunity it looks like he's ready for. • Landon Knack fires five scoreless against Angels
Landon Knack didn’t give up a run while working five innings in his start Friday against the Angels.

Advice: Knack was called up to start Friday’s opener against the Angels, and he pitched effectively. The 26-year-old allowed just two hits, struck out two and issued two free passes with 48-of-73 pitches landing for strikes. The right-hander has likely earned another start with this effort, but nothing is set in stone. Depending on the matchup, Knack is absolutely worth consideration for fantasy players going forward. • Carlos Rodón touched up by Braves
Carlos Rodón allowed seven earned runs on Friday against the Braves. They had 11 hits while Rodón struck out just three and walked two.

Advice: Rodón was never comfortable in this one. New York is in the midst of a massive heat wave and Rodón spent most of his time rubbing the ball for a better grip and wiping sweat from his face. His slider was all over the place, which could potentially be explained by poor grip. Rodón will look to right the ship next week in Toronto. Rotoworld Friday, 7:26 pm

    • Strikes out eight in win
Flaherty (5-4) earned the win against the White Sox on Friday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Flaherty threw four scoreless innings before surrendering a solo home run to Tommy Pham in the fifth. He then allowed a hit and a walk with two outs in the sixth before being pulled just shy of a quality start at 98 pitches. The home run was the first earned run Flaherty has allowed since May 23, and the pitch count was encouraging considering he was limited to 73 pitches in his last outing following a back injury. On the season, he owns a 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 108:13 K:BB over 83.1 innings and tentatively lines up to face the Phillies next week. Rotowire.com Friday, 6:30 pm
    • Jack Flaherty strikes out eight in win on Friday
Jack Flaherty delivered an excellent performance in Friday night’s victory over the White Sox, racking up eight strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The right-hander scattered five hits on the night while issuing a pair of free passes. The lone tally against him came on a solo homer off the bat of Tommy Pham in the fifth inning. Aside from that though, he was in complete control. Flaherty got 14 swings and misses on 98 pitches in the ballgame — seven of those on his slider — while posting a strong CSW of 34 percent. Now 5-4 on the season, the increasingly popular trade candidate will carry a sublime 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 108/13 K/BB ratio (83 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s battle against the Phillies. • Recalled ahead of start
The Dodgers recalled Knack from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.

Advice: Knack was named the starter for Friday's game against the Angels after Yoshinobu Yamamoto was placed on the injured list Sunday due to a right rotator cuff strain. Over 10 appearances in the minors this season, Knack has a 3.54 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 52:20 K:BB over 48.1 innings. His last start in the majors was against the Reds on May 19, when he allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out five over 4.2 innings. To make room for Knack, the Dodgers optioned right-hander J.P. Feyereisen to Oklahoma City. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:20 pm
    • Dodgers promote Landon Knack for Friday start
Dodgers recalled RHP Landon Knack from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: The 26-year-old right-hander will start in the opener of the team’s two-game Freeway Series against the Angels on Friday night. If he pitches well, he could stick around for a while with both Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Walker Buehler on the injured list. Knack has pitched very well in four starts for the Dodgers this season, posting a 2.61 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 16/6 K/BB ratio across 20 2/3 innings. J.P. Feyereisen was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move on Friday. Rotoworld Friday, 2:54 pm
    • Records 12th save
Phillips earned a save against the Rockies on Thursday, striking out two batters in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Phillips cruised to the save on 11 pitches, punching out two of the three batters he faced. It was the fifth straight scoreless and hitless outing for the closer, who has allowed an earned run in only two of his 21 appearances this season. Phillips is 12-for-12 in save chances this season -- he's the only MLB closer with that many saves who remains perfect in save opportunities. Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:13 pm
