    • Orioles set to promote Heston Kjerstad on Monday
Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports that the Orioles plan to promote Heston Kjerstad from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

Advice: The 25-year-old slugger doesn’t have anything left to prove at the Triple-A level where he’s slashing .301/.390/.601 with 16 homers, 58 RBI and a pair of stolen bases in 55 games. It’s unclear how he’ll be utilized in Baltimore though. He’s likely to fill the role that Kyle Stowers had before his demotion earlier this week, getting nothing more than the occasional start against right-handed pitching. Without the promise of everyday at-bats, it’s difficult to get excited about his prospects from a fantasy perspective. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:57 pm
    • Expected to be called up Monday
Kjerstad is set to be called up to the major-league roster Monday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: Kjerstad spent a little over two weeks with the Orioles in late April and early May, going 2-for-14 with two walks and six strikeouts while appearing in seven contests. Since being sent down to Triple- Norfolk on May 13, the 25-year-old produced a .268 average with six home runs, 28 RBI, 23 runs and a stolen base over 34 contests, and he'll look to carry his momentum into his second stint with Baltimore in 2024. It's unclear who Kjerstad will replace on the major-league roster, but with Colton Cowser struggling to a .170 average with four extra-base hits over 53 at-bats in June, it's possible that Cowser is the odd man out. • Out of lineup Sunday
Raleigh is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Raleigh will begin Sunday's game in the dugout after going 1-for-8 with one RBI over the first two games of the series. Mitch Garver will start behind home plate and bat seventh against Miami right-hander Kyle Tyler. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:35 am

    • Jack Flaherty to have next start pushed back
Tigers manager A.J. Hinch told reporters Sunday that Jack Flaherty will have his next start pushed back.

Advice: Flaherty was excellent on Friday in a win over the White Sox and the Tigers simply want to give him some extra rest before taking the ball again since he’s been pitching through a lingering back issue. The 28-year-old righty was slated to take the ball during Wednesday’s series finale against the Phillies, but is going to get at least one additional rest day instead. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:50 am
    • Pitches better Saturday
Neris worked around a hit and a walk to pitch a scoreless ninth inning in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Mets. He struck out two.

Advice: Neris was still a little shaky, but this was a step in the right direction after he allowed seven earned runs over 2.2 innings and blew two saves in his last three outings. The veteran worked the end of the game Saturday, though it wasn't a save opportunity, and Colten Brewer was the pitcher tapped for the team's last save chance in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants. Neris is likely still the closer in Chicago moving forward, but his margin for error has shrunk. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:10 am
    • Belts two-run blast
Steer went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to Boston on Saturday.

Advice: Steer gave the Reds an early lead with his two-run shot to left field in the first inning. It was his ninth long ball of the season and his third through 19 contests in June. Steer is slashing .234/.326/.401 with 45 RBI, 33 runs and 12 stolen bases on the campaign. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:09 pm

    • Dealt third loss
Burnes (8-3) allowed four runs on five hits and struck out five without walking a batter over seven innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Astros.

Advice: Burnes had a solid outing, but a two-run home run by Yordan Alvarez and a solo shot by Chas McCormick were too much for the Orioles to overcome. This marks the first time all year Burnes has given up multiple homers in a start -- he's yielded just 10 long balls through 16 starts. While this wasn't his best work, he's still at an excellent 2.35 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 94:24 K:BB through 99.2 innings. Burnes is projected to make his next start at home versus the Rangers. • Hit hard Saturday
Berrios (6-6) allowed five runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three over five innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Guardians.

Advice: The Guardians aren't known for power, but they tagged Berrios with three home runs -- Bo Naylor, Jose Ramirez and Steven Kwan all took the right-hander deep. With seven homers allowed over his last four starts, Berrios' trouble with the long ball is becoming a concern. He's given up 14 runs across 22.2 innings in that span and now has a 3.43 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 68:23 K:BB through 97 innings across 16 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home in a difficult matchup versus the Yankees. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:30 pm
    • Berrios allows five runs in loss against Guardians
Jose Berrios allowed five runs in five innings and took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: Berrios gave up six hits, walked one and struck out three. Home runs have been a problem for Berrios this year and he allowed three more of them on Saturday. He’s now allowed a total of 17 home runs in 16 starts. His 1.58 HR/9 would be a career-high. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Yankees at home next weekend.
