    • Goes deep Wednesday
Perkins went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in Wednesday's 10-6 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Perkins went yard as part of a five-run third inning for the Brewers. That homer was his first since he hit a long ball against the Cubs on May 4. He hit a poor .164 with a .388 OPS over 20 contests between homers. For the season, Perkins is slashing .232/.318/.361 with five homers, 17 RBI, 25 runs scored, five stolen bases and five doubles across 176 plate appearances while seeing a majority of the playing time in center field. • Blake Perkins homers, doubles in victory
Blake Perkins went 2-for-4 with a home run, double, and two RBI on Wednesday against the Cubs.

Advice: After knocking a double in the second inning, Perkins extended the Brewers’ lead with a two-run homer off Shota Imanaga in the third. The 27-year-old outfielder is hitting .232/.318/.361 with five homers, 25 runs scored, and five steals across 176 plate appearances. Perkins, a switch hitter, has fared much better against right-handed pitching, with all five home runs coming off righties. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:20 pm

    • Getting rest in series finale
Bryant is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Bryant looks to be receiving some routine maintenance for the series finale after he started in each of the previous five games while going 4-for-19 with a home run and three walks. Elias Diaz will get a day off from catching duties and will replace Bryant in the lineup at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:06 pm

    • Losing work to Sean Bouchard
Cave is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Even with fellow outfielder Jordan Beck (hand) landing on the injured list Sunday, Cave has seen his opportunities take a hit. The lefty-hitting Cave will hit the bench for a fourth straight game Wednesday, with two absences coming against lefties and two coming versus right-handed pitchers. Sean Bouchard has started in all four of those contests and appears to be the preferred option at the corner-outfield spot opposite Charlie Blackmon. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:01 pm

    • Drawing fourth straight start
Bouchard will start in left field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Following his call-up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Bouchard has now started in each of the Rockies' ensuing four games. Bouchard went 2-for-8 with a double, three walks, four runs, two RBI and two stolen bases in the previous three contests. With Jordan Beck (hand) recently hitting the injured list, Bouchard looks like he could be in line for everyday playing time in the corner outfield until Nolan Jones (back) is reinstated from the IL, which could happen next week. • Michael A. Taylor goes 0-for-3 in defeat
Michael A. Taylor went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts against the Tigers in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader.

Advice: Taylor was signed to be the Pirates’ primary center fielder, but his performance has turned him into a part-timer, even with Jack Suwinski back in the minors. He’s hitting .125/.173/.208 with 21 strikeouts in 49 plate appearances this month. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:15 pm

    • Idle against lefty
Peralta is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Peralta will stay on the bench for the third game in a row, with the Padres facing southpaws in each of those contests. Since joining the Padres last Wednesday after being called up from Triple-A El Paso, Peralta appears to have settled into a platoon with the right-handed-hitting Donovan Solano, who is in the lineup for a third straight game. • Getting rest Wednesday
Heyward is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Advice: The Dodgers are facing a left-handed starting pitcher (David Peterson) for the second consecutive game, so the lefty-hitting Heyward will once again be on the bench after he sat out the second leg of Tuesday's doubleheader. He'll cede his spot in the outfield to the right-handed-hitting Miguel Vargas, who has seemingly moved into the short side of a platoon with Heyward. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:53 am

    • Taking seat against lefty
Lux is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Advice: The Dodgers are facing a left-handed starting pitcher (David Peterson) for the second consecutive game, so the lefty-hitting Lux will once again be on the bench after he sat out the second leg of Tuesday's doubleheader. Miguel Rojas will step in at shortstop, with Mookie Betts playing second base for Lux, who went 1-for-5 with two strikeouts in the Dodgers' 5-2 extra-inning win in the opening game of the twin bill Tuesday.
