• Start pushed to Friday
Reds manager David Bell said Sunday that Greene's next start will be pushed to Friday against the Brewers, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: The right-hander was previously expected to start Tuesday versus Cleveland, but he'll get a bit of extra rest this week after throwing 111 pitches in each of his past two starts. Greene gave up nine earned runs in those outings and has a 3.61 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 84:32 K:BB over 77.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

  • José Alvarado blows save while allowing three runs
José Alvarado took a loss and blew a save while allowing three runs — two earned — in 2/3 of an inning against the Mets on Sunday in a 6-5 loss for the Phillies.

Advice: Alvarado is normally one of the more reliable stoppers in baseball, but Sunday wasn’t a good example of it. The southpaw issued a pair of walks and gave up two hits, and while he wasn’t helped by his defense, it was still a disappointing effort where he threw just 18-of-35 pitches for strikes. Expect Alvarado to bounce back in his next few appearances, but this one stings a bit. Rotoworld 52 minutes ago

  • Not in Sunday's lineup
Herrera is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Herrera started the first three games of the series and will receive Sunday off after going 2-for-12 with three runs. Pedro Pages will work behind the plate with righty Andres Pallante. Rotowire.com Today, 9:54 am

  • On bench Sunday
Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Murphy started the previous three games and will take a seat for Sunday's series finale in Washington. Travis d'Arnaud will step in behind the plate to catch for Hunter Waldrep in his MLB debut. Rotowire.com Today, 9:49 am

  • Sitting for series finale
Stephenson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: It's a well-deserved day off for Stephenson, who started the previous nine games and posted a .905 OPS during that stretch. Luke Maile will take over behind the plate Sunday and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 9:42 am

  • Stays hot Saturday
Swanson went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles and an RBI in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Reds.

Advice: It's a small sample, but over his last five games, Swanson has gone 7-for-19 with four extra-base hits, including a home run in Friday's contest. On the season, the shortstop is batting just .220 with a .658 OPS, though if he continues his recent level of play, his overall stats should start to look better. Swanson will see ample playing time moving forward as long as he's healthy, so he should remain locked into fantasy lineups as he heats up. Rotowire.com Today, 7:34 am

  • Slugs homer in victory
Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk Saturday in an 11-3 win against the Yankees.

Advice: Hernandez produced just enough power to poke a solo shot to the right-field porch in the fifth inning, giving Los Angeles a 3-2 lead. The veteran utility man made his third straight start at third base, and he's notched an extra-base hit in each of those games, going 3-for-10 with two doubles and Saturday's homer along with three walks. Max Muncy (oblique) is on a slow ramp-up and figures to be out of action beyond next week, so Hernandez could be in for relatively consistent playing time in the short term. • Freddie Freeman doubles twice in blowout win
Freddie Freeman doubled twice and drove home a pair of runs in a blowout win Saturday over the Yankees.

Advice: One of the doubles was a rare misplay from Alex Verdugo, but it still counts in the scoreboard. The 34-year-old now has doubled 19 times on the season while driving in 40 runs. Even with a mediocre May, Freeman’s slash of .293/.399/.488 is awfully hard to complain about. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:04 pm

  • Swanson has three hits in loss Saturday
Dansby Swanson went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles and an RBI against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Swanson brought his average up to .220 with the three-hit effort. He’s following up a down season last year, when he hit .244, with even worse production this year. His 27 percent strikeout percentage would be the highest of his career and his .147 ISO would be the lowest. Maybe Saturday is the start of a turnaround for Swanson, but there haven’t been a lot of positives for him this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:07 pm
