    Brandon Pfaadt allowed six hits and four earned runs over seven innings in the Diamondbacks’ loss to the Rangers.

    Advice: Pfaadt got some early run support in the second inning but the Diamondbacks were unable to keep pace with the Rangers, who hung three runs on Pfaadt in the fifth inning via a Corey Seager three-run homer. Pfaadt allowed three or more earned runs in three of his five starts in May, and picked up just one win on the month.     Masyn Winn went 1-for-5 with two RBI in a 7-1 win over the Reds on Tuesday.

    Advice: His sixth-inning double was 106 mph off the bar and extended his hitting streak to 17 games. The 22-year-old is 22-for-64 (.344) over that stretch with two home runs, 10 RBI, and three steals. He has been leading off consistently against left-handed pitching, but if the Cardinals decide to move him up in the order full-time, he could see a big fantasy boost with the likely improvement to his counting stats.   • Iván Herrera has three hits in win over Reds
    Iván Herrera went 3-for-5 with an RBI in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

    Advice: The 23-year-old has taken over as the Cardinals’ starting catcher after the Willson Contreras injury and was also hitting clean-up on Tuesday. Nothing Herrera hit was over 84 mph on the day, but a hit is a hit in the box score.     Freddie Freeman went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI, powering the Dodgers to a 5-2 extra-inning win over the Mets in the front-end of Tuesday’s doubleheader.

    Advice: Freeman followed Mookie Betts’ go-ahead 10th-inning single with a majestic 383-foot missile to right field off Mets reliever Jorge López to give Los Angeles a commanding three-run lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. The 34-year-old also delivered a key run-scoring single in the eighth inning that jump-started the Dodgers’ late-inning rally.     Duvall went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the Nationals.

    Advice: He took a tiring Mitchell Parker deep in the seventh inning, giving Duvall his second homer in as many days and his fifth of the year. The veteran outfielder will move out of his short-side platoon role and take over as Atlanta's everyday right fielder due to Ronald Acuna (knee) being lost for the season, but if Duvall's .209/.303/.407 slash line doesn't improve, the team might give J.P.     Morton (3-2) took the loss Monday against Washington, allowing eight runs on 12 hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

    Advice: The 40-year-old Morton allowed a career-high 12 hits in this start as the Nationals laced eight singles, three doubles and one homer. However, he also managed to generate an impressive 18 whiffs en route to his seven punchouts. Overall, the Atlanta veteran owns a 4.29 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 59:23 K:BB in 56.2 innings this season.   • Duvall blasts fifth home run Monday
    Adam Duvall went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Nationals on Monday.



    Advice: The home run was Duvall’s fifth of the season. He was in right field for the Braves in their first game since Ronald Acuna Jr. went down with a season-ending injury. With Austin Riley and Sean Murphy back in the lineup, Duvall hit sixth. This wouldn’t be the first time Duvall has seen increased playing time in Acuna’s stead. He’s hitting just .209 with a .710 OPS on the season so far.

  • Morton hit hard in loss against the Nationals Monday
    Charlie Morton allowed eight runs in 5 ⅔ innings and took the loss against the Nationals on Monday.



    Advice: Morton allowed 12 hits, walked two and struck out seven. Despite allowing four runs in the first inning, the Braves let Morton work through it and the Nationals offense didn’t let up as he had his worst start of the season. His ERA increased from 3.35 to 4.29. The 40-year-old right-hander will look to turn the page in his next start against the Athletics at home this weekend.
