• Braves activate Ozzie Albies from 10-day IL
Braves activated 2B Ozzie Albies (toe) from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Albies returns to the active roster following a stay on the injured list with a fractured right toe. It’s amazing that the 27-year-old needed just the minimum 10 days on the injured list before making his return with the injury he had. On top of that, he was doing fielding drills this past weekend to get ramped up for live action. He’ll be a boost for the Braves’ offense and for fantasy managers as he’s on pace for a career season with a .317/.386/.492 batting line in his first 15 games. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

  • Nabs first save
Megill pitched a clean ninth inning Thursday to notch his first save of the year.

Advice: Megill and Joel Payamps flipped roles from Wednesday, when Megill had pitched a clean eighth inning and Payamps pitched the ninth and got the save despite allowing to fluky baserunners. It's uncertain who will get the next save opportunity. This tracks with how manager Pat Murphy said earlier in the year that he intended to "pass the Fireman's hat around" with the Brewers save chances once Devin Williams got hurt. • Activated from injured list
Atlanta activated Albies (toe) from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Advice: Albies missed just the minimum 10 days with a fractured right big toe and will not require a rehab assignment before rejoining his teammates for the weekend series against the Guardians. The 27-year-old has put together a .317/.386/.492 batting line with two home runs and two stolen bases through his first 15 contests this season. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

  • Swipes first bag
Vaught went 2-for-5 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's loss to the Twins.

Advice: Vaughn singled in his first trip to the plate before also stealing his first base of the season, but was left stranded. He added a double in his next at-bat, then came around to score on a Paul DeJong single to put Chicago up 2-0, marking the first baseman's only multi-hit performance since April 9 against the Guardians. Vaughn is still batting just .167 following the two-hit effort, though he has hit safely in three of his last four games. Rotowire.com Today, 4:37 am
  • Secures fourth save
Jax earned the save in a win over the White Sox on Thursday, striking out one over two-thirds of an inning.

Advice: Jax entered the game with one out and a four-run lead in the top of the ninth and got Eloy Jimenez to go down swinging before Robbie Grossman reached on a fielding error in the following at-bat, scoring Nicky Lopez. He then needed just one pitch to retire the final batter via groundout and secure his fourth save of the season. Jax has not allowed a run in either of his last four appearances and had held his opponents hitless in each of his last three, striking out four over that stretch while not issuing any walks. • Allows two runs in no-decision
Soroka did not factor into the decision against the Twins on Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one over five innings.

Advice: Soroka walked Alex Kirilloff on four straight pitches to open the bottom of the first and appeared to be headed for another rough outing, but the right-hander was able to work his way through the inning despite also allowing a two-out single. Soroka actually shut out the Twins over the first five innings before giving up back-to-back home runs to lead off the sixth, though he also managed just one strikeout on the afternoon. It marked the first time in his last four starts that he was able to make it through five innings, though he now sports a dismal 13:14 K:BB on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 4:19 am
  • Three hits, two RBI in win
Hoskins went 3-for-5 in Thursday's win over the Pirates with a double, two RBI and a stolen base.

Advice: Hoskins singled home William Contreras in his second at-bat to tie the game at 3-3 and later added an RBI double in the fifth to give Milwaukee a one-run lead. The first baseman has now recorded at least one RBI in four of his last six games while Thursday marked his second three-hit effort of the season. With that said, he's still batting just .219 in April with four homers and 13 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 4:08 am

  • Goes yard, scores three times
Contreras went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, three runs scored and a stolen base while also drawing a walk in Thursday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: Contreras launched a solo homer off Mitch Keller in the top of the first to give Milwaukee an early lead and then came around to score the team's third run on a Rhys Hoskins single in the third, following a walk. He would add a single in the fifth before going on to steal his second base of the season. The catcher scored three runs in the contest, a mark he's hit three times now in the early season, while also recording multiple hits for the second consecutive game. Contreras is now batting .373 in April with five homers, 20 RBI and 21 runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 4:01 am
  • Fans seven in no-decision
Keller allowed four runs on six hits and two walks over five frames in a no-decision against the Brewers on Thursday while striking out seven.

Advice: Keller got off to a rocky start, surrendering a solo home run to William Contreras in the second at-bat of the game before then allowing another two runs in the third following back-to-back walks to open the frame. The right-hander would fail to make it through six innings for the first time in his last four starts while allowing four earned runs for the fourth time this season. On a positive note, Keller did record his second-highest strikeout total of the campaign with seven. Rotowire.com Today, 3:51 am
