• Chased early in loss
Littell (2-5) yielded seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and a walk over two innings Friday, striking out two and taking a loss against Atlanta.

Advice: Atlanta jumped all over Littell right out of the gate, tallying five runs in the first and two more in the second. It was Littell's shortest outing of the year and he saw his ERA jump from 3.63 to 4.24 in the process. Over his last six starts, he's posted a 5.79 ERA in 31.2 frames. Still looking for his first win since May 11, Littell's next start is projected to be in Minnesota. Rotowire.com 44 minutes ago

  • Sean Manaea strikes out seven in win
Sean Manaea allowed one earned run in five-plus innings of work on Friday in a 2-1 win over the Padres. He struck out seven and walked one.

Advice: This was a nice bounce-back for Manaea after a rough outing in London last weekend. He leaned on his two-seamer for a bevy of called strikes and whiffs as he crowded the Padres hitters all night. Their only hard-hit ball was Jackson Merrill’s impressive solo shot to center field through the rain. Still, Manaea is a true five-and-dive throwing fewer than six innings in five straight outings and in 10 of his 13 starts this season. Rotoworld Today, 8:16 pm

  • Exits with concussion-like symptoms
Davis was removed from Friday's game against the Rockies after exhibiting concussion-like symptoms.

Advice: It's unclear when exactly Davis might have suffered the injury, but he was replaced behind the dish by Yasmani Grandal ahead of the seventh inning. Davis is in the process of being evaluated by the Pirates' medical staff, and an update on his status should come in the near future. Rotowire.com Today, 8:14 pm

  • Jackson Merrill with another home run
Jackson Merrill went 1-for-3 with a solo homer Friday against the Mets.

Advice: Merrill’s home run was impressive: off lefty Sean Manaea to straight away center through the rain at Citi Field. It was another notable moment in what’s been a great rookie season for the 20-year-old. He has a .280/.314/.401 slash line with six home runs and nine stolen bases while learning center field on the fly. Rotoworld Today, 8:12 pm

  • Mauricio Dubon clubs two-run homer in win Friday
Mauricio Dubon clubbed a two-run homer on Friday night, helping to power the Astros to a 4-0 victory over the Tigers.

Advice: The game had been a scoreless pitcher’s duel heading to the sixth inning, but the Astros finally broke through on an RBI triple from Alex Bregman and a sacrifice fly off the bat of Yordan Alvarez. Three batters later, Dubon crushed a 371-foot (104.7 mph EV) two-run homer on a first-pitch changeup from Tarik Skubal that effectively put the game away. He finished the night 1-for-3 and is now hitting a cool .302/.327/.421 with three long balls and 23 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 8:09 pm

  • Colt Keith collects two hits in loss to Astros
Colt Keith went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles as the Tigers were shut out by the Astros on Friday evening in Houston.

Advice: As a team, the Tigers were only able to muster five total hits against Hunter Brown and company on Friday night, with Keith the only member of the squad to have more than one. The 22-year-old’s bat has started to heat up after a miserable start to his MLB career, but he’s still slashing an underwhelming .222/.273/.284 with just two homers, 19 RBI and three stolen bases in 60 games on the season. • Goes yard in win
Dubon went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's victory over the Tigers.

Advice: Dubon popped a 371-foot blast of Tarik Skubal in the sixth inning for his third homer of the season. The Houston utility man drew the start at first base -- his third this season -- after the Astros released Jose Abreu earlier in the day. Abreu's departure should cement Dubon into consistent playing time. Overall, the 29-year-old sports a .301/.327/.404 slash line in 165 plate appearances with 21 runs scored and 23 RBI. • Zack Littell allows seven runs in two innings
Zack Littell imploded on Friday giving up six earned runs in just two innings against the Braves. He struck out two, walked one, and took the loss.

Advice: Littell unraveled in the first inning as the first five Braves that came to the plate got a hit with four going for extra bases. Then, he committed a shockingly bad throwing error on a swinging bunt by Adam Duvall and was yanked after the second inning. His ERA rose from 3.63 to 4.24 in this disastrous start. • Jake Cave (head) scratched from Rockies’ lineup
Jake Cave was scratched from the Rockies’ starting lineup on Friday after sustaining a “minor cut to his forehead” when he was hit in the side of the head by a line drive during batting practice.

Advice: It sounds like he was fortunate to have avoided a more serious injury, but Rockies’ skipper Bud Black said he would provide another update on his status after Friday’s game. Elehuris Montero will take his place in the Rockies lineup, with Charlie Blackmon shifting from designated hitter to right field. Rotoworld Today, 4:29 pm
