    • Running bases
Lewis (quadriceps) ran the bases Monday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Advice: After starting with some light running last week, Lewis was able to run the bases for the first time Monday as he continues to rehab from a right quad strain. It's expected that Lewis will need a rehab assignment before returning, which could push his timetable for return into early June. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:42 pm

    • Royce Lewis (quad) making progress in recovery
Royce Lewis (quad) progressed to running the bases on Monday.

Advice: Lewis will be re-evaluated later this week to determine where he’s at in his rehabilitation process from a severe right quad strain that he suffered back on Opening Day. The 24-year-old is getting close to starting a minor league rehab assignment and could return at some point next month, barring any setbacks. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:35 pm

    • Returns to lineup Tuesday
Hoerner (hamstring) will start at second base and bat sixth in Tuesday's game versus Atlanta.

Advice: Hoerner hasn't played in more than a week due to a left hamstring injury, but he's finally feeling well enough to give it a go Tuesday. Dansby Swanson is also back from an injured-list stint, so the Cubs will have their middle-infield duo back together for the first time since May 7. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:33 pm

    • Follow-up exam on June 5
Encarnacion-Strand (wrist) will have a follow-up exam on June 5, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: That will be the four-week mark of Encarnacion-Strand's projected 4-to-6 week timetable as he recovers from a fracture in his right wrist, so it would appear he's not going to make it back on the early side of that timeline. Encarnacion-Strand would presumably require a rehab assignment before returning. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:55 pm
    • Homers again in Sunday's loss
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Torkelson got the Tigers on the board with a solo blast to center off Jordan Montgomery in the third inning and later scored once more after reaching on a fielder's choice. After not homering in his first 37 games of the season, Torkelson now has three home runs in his last seven games and seems to finally be heating up after a slow start to the year. The 24-year-old also has at least a hit in 12 of 13 games dating back to May 5 and is now slashing .227/.291/.360 with 17 RBI, 21 runs and a 13:43 BB:K in 189 plate appearances. • Lifts homer in win
Ramos went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Ramos has an extra-base hit in three of his last four games and at least one RBI in six of his last seven contests. The outfielder is batting .293 with a homer, eight RBI, six runs scored, a stolen base and three doubles through 44 plate appearances since he was called up May 8. Ramos is seeing steady time in the corner outfield while the Giants navigate a rough patch of injuries, and he's earned that role with strong hitting. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:07 pm

    • Elly De La Cruz strikes out four times in loss
Elly De La Cruz went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: After a tremendous first game of the series, De La Cruz finished the final three games against the Dodgers going 0-for-13 with eight strikeouts. He’s off to an absurd start to the season with 30 stolen bases and nine home runs in 47 games; however, he has started to give back some of his early plate discipline gains. De La Cruz now has 26 strikeouts to just five walks in May while going 14-for-65 at the plate for a .215 average. He’s an electric fantasy player and not somebody you’d ever take out of your lineup, but the 22-year-old remains a work in progress as far as his approach at the plate goes. While that gives him scary good upside, it also means that you should be ready for some prolonged cold streaks as well. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:17 pm

    • Spencer Torkelson goes deep in loss to D’Backs
Spencer Torkelson clubbed his third home run of the season on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to power the Tigers past the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

Advice: The 24-year-old slugger got the Tigers on the board in the third inning, crushing a 428-foot (106.5 mph EV) solo shot off of Jordan Montgomery in the third inning. He also reached on a fielder’s choice in the seventh inning and scored on an RBI triple off the bat of Kerry Carpenter that was nearly an inside-the-park home run. Torkelson finished the afternoon 1-for-4 and is now hitting .227/.291/.360 with three long balls and 17 RBI. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:16 pm
    • Heliot Ramos homers in win over Rockies
Heliot Ramos went 1-for-4 with a home run in a win over the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: The blast was a 409-foot shot that came off the bat at 102.5 mph. It was his first of the season. While teammate Luis Matos has been getting all the attention for his blistering start following his promotion from Triple-A, Ramos is looking good with a .293/.341/.439 triple slash. In fact, Ramos was outplaying Matos in Triple-A as well, with a .296/.388/.565 slash line, eight homers, 21 RBI, and a pair of stolen bases in his first 30 games. While many people will put big bids on Matos this weekend, a small bid on Ramos could go just as far. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:47 pm
