Jameson Taillon spins another gem in no-decision
Jameson Taillon yielded one run over 7 1/3 innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Mets.
Advice: Taillon authored his third consecutive strong performance since returning from the injured list a couple weeks ago, limiting New York’s strong lineup to just a leadoff homer by Brandon Nimmo, while working into the eighth inning. He notched only one strikeout, but allowed just five baserunners, and only two of eight batted balls with an exit velocity in excess of 95 mph went for hits against him. He’ll bring a sparkling 1.50 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 9/3 K/BB ratio across 18 innings (three starts) into a home outing on Saturday against the Brewers. The lack of strikeouts limits his fantasy appeal moving forward, but he’s looking like a decent streaming option, especially in favorable matchups.
