• Resting Tuesday
Moniak isn't in the Angels' lineup Tuesday against the Yankees.

Advice: Moniak will take a seat Tuesday after going 1-for-11 over his last four games. His absence will allow Kevin Pillar to start in center field while batting fourth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:45 pm

  • Resting versus lefty
Heyward isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Mets, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Advice: Heyward went 1-for-3 and drew a walk in a win during Game 1, and he'll step out of the lineup to conclude Tuesday's proceedings as the Mets send lefty Jose Quintana to the mound. Miguel Vargas, Andy Pages and Teoscar Hernandez will start across Los Angeles' outfield while Heyward rests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:25 pm

  • Not starting versus lefty
Peralta isn't in the Padres' lineup Tuesday against the Marlins.

Advice: With lefty Jesus Luzardo on the mound for Miami, the lefty-hitting Peralta will watch the beginning of Tuesday's game from the dugout. Manny Machado will instead operate as San Diego's DH while Donovan Solano picks up a start at third base, batting sixth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:18 pm

  • Designated for assignment
The Giants designated McKenna for assignment Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Just 10 days after getting claimed off waivers from Baltimore, McKenna's time with the Giants has come to an end. The 27-year-old outfielder went 0-for-6 with a stolen base and a run scored in four games with the Giants. He sports a .626 OPS in 523 plate appearances across his MLB career and could draw some interest on the waiver wire from a team in need of outfield depth. Tyler Fitzgerald was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:01 pm

  • Cora: Tyler O’Neill to undergo imaging on knee
Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters Tuesday that Tyler O’Neill will undergo additional testing on his right knee.

Advice: O’Neill has been sent back to Boston to undergo additional imaging for precautionary reason to rule out anything significant. The 28-year-old slugger has missed three straight contests due to right knee soreness, but it sounds like he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. There’s a chance he’s back in Boston’s lineup when they return to Fenway Park for Thursday’s series opener against the Tigers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:46 pm

  • Sent for imaging on knee
O'Neill has been sent back to Boston to receive imaging on his sore right knee, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Red Sox manager Alex Cora indicated that it's more for peace of mind than a worry that O'Neill is dealing with a significant injury, but it's still not an encouraging development. O'Neill is missing a third straight start Tuesday, and it's safe to assume he won't play in the series finale in Baltimore on Wednesday, either. The Red Sox will begin a homestand Thursday versus the Tigers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:42 pm

  • Avisaíl García (hamstring) starts rehab assignment
Avisaíl García (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: García hit the injured list back in late April with a left hamstring strain and should be an option again for the Marlins at some point in early June. The 32-year-old veteran outfielder has been a colossal disappointment for Miami since signing a four-year, $52 million pact prior to the 2022 campaign as a free agent. • Sitting versus southpaw
Gallo is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Atlanta.

Advice: Gallo had started 10 straight games since returning from the injured list, but he will begin Tuesday's game on the bench as Atlanta goes with Max Fried as its starting pitcher. Joey Meneses will cover first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:05 pm
