  • Cozart drives in winning runs in ninth Wed.
Zack Cozart ripped a single to left that plated the tying and go-ahead runs in the ninth inning as his club beat the Indians 4-3 on Wednesday.

Advice: He came up with two outs in the top of the ninth inning. Arismendy Alcantara was on third and Billy Hamilton was on first. Cozart drilled a line drive that bounced right in front of left-fielder Michael Brantley, who blocked the ball in front of him on a dive. Alcantara scored easily from third while Billy Hamilton blazed around from first base on a ball that no other player in baseball could have scored on. Cozart went 1-for-4 with a walk in the game. He is having an excellent season, sporting a .340/.420/.563 triple slash with four homers, 26 runs and 23 RBI in 39 games. He has missed a few games here and there with a nagging wrist injury that doesn't seem to have affected his hitting. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:40 pm
  • Jedd Gyorko goes 3-for-4 in win
Jedd Gyorko finished 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Gyorko's surprising 30-homer season last year came with just a .243 average. This year, though, he's at .331 over 136 at-bats. There's no way he keeps that up, but he probably will make another run at 30 homers now that he's a regular. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:09 pm

  • Yadier Molina extends hitting streak
Yadier Molina hit a two-run homer Wednesday against the Dodgers to extend his hitting streak to 13 games.

Advice: Most hitting streaks like this come with averages in the .350-.400 range, but Molina is hitting just .263 during his; he's collected exactly one hit in 11 of the 13 games and, since he hasn't drawn a walk in any of them, he's always getting four or five at-bats. At least he does have three homers during the streak; he had just one in his first 25 games. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:06 pm
  • Jose Ramirez blows save for Braves
Given a save chance with Jim Johnson needing the day off, Jose Ramirez gave up two runs in the ninth to blow a save Wednesday against the Pirates.

Advice: Both Johnson and Arodys Vizcaino had worked the last two days and four of the previous five days, so Ramirez got the call. An overturned call gave the Pirates an infield single to open the inning, and they got another single, a walk and a two-run single afterwards to tie the game. Ramirez probably won't get any additional save chances in the near future. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:25 pm
  • Rio Ruiz goes 2-for-5, doubles
Rio Ruiz went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored Wednesday against the Pirates.

Advice: It'd be nice to see Ruiz stick around as the Braves' primary third baseman after Adonis Garcia is ready to return, but we're guessing that won't happen. The Braves will eventually give up on Garcia, but it seems unlikely that they're ready to do so right now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:17 pm
