  • Jon Gray's MRI comes back without issue
A precautionary MRI on Jon Gray's toe came back without issue on Saturday.

Advice: Gray as removed from Friday's start against the Giants due to left foot soreness and follow-up exams have confirmed that there's no real injury to worry about here. He should have no problem making his next start and being ready for the start of the regular season. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:03 am

  • Rangers and Odor in agreement on $49.5M pact
Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports that the Rangers and Rougned Odor are in agreement on a six-year, $49.5 million contract extension.

Advice: Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News had reported earlier that the two sides were close to a deal. Heyman also notes that the deal includes an option for a seventh season which could push the total of deal even higher. The 23-year-old was set to be eligible for arbitration in 2018 and a free agent in 2021. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:16 am
  • Polanco scratched due to shoulder discomfort
Gregory Polanco was scratched from Saturday's Grapefruit League lineup due to left shoulder discomfort.

Advice: While it doesn't sound like anything more than a minor issue, it's not the type of thing you want to be hearing so close to the start of the regular season, especially right in the thick of fantasy draft season. This shouldn't impact his availability for Opening Day, but could cause the risk-averse drafters to let him slide a few more picks. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:45 am

  • Braves release veteran righty Blaine Boyer
    Braves released RHP Blaine Boyer.

Advice: The club informed him on Saturday that he wouldn't be making the Opening Day bullpen and have given him an opportunity to latch on elsewhere. If he's unable to land a big league job, they would love to have him back on a minor league deal to function as bullpen depth at Triple-A Gwinnett. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:25 am

  • Carlos Correa out Saturday due to illness
Carlos Correa is not in the Astros starting lineup on Saturday due to illness.

Advice: The Astros are rolling out a lineup that looks similar to one they could field on Opening Day, minus Correa who's feeling a little under the weather. Expect him to return to game action in a day or two. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:02 am
