      Holmes earned a save against the Twins on Thursday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter in one scoreless inning.

      Advice: Holmes gave up a one-out single after entering the game in the ninth frame, but that's all Minnesota managed against him. The talented closer has held the opponent without an earned run in 27 of his 28 appearances this season, resulting in an excellent 1.32 ERA.       Stroman allowed five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two batters over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against Minnesota on Thursday.

      Advice: Stroman was handed a 7-2 lead through four innings but couldn't go deep enough to qualify for the victory. He allowed two doubles and a walk while also hitting a batter in the fifth frame, retiring only two batters before he was pulled. This was a big letdown for Stroman after he notched four consecutive quality starts while posting a 1.01 ERA over his previous 26.2 innings coming into Thursday.       Abrams went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to Atlanta.

      Advice: Abrams broke a scoreless tie in the sixth frame with his leadoff homer against Atlanta starter Reynaldo Lopez. The shortstop came into the contest having gone 1-for-21 over his previous seven games and recently missed time due to a shoulder issue, so the long ball was a much-needed positive development.       Clay Holmes tossed a scoreless inning and picked up the save against the Twins on Thursday.

      Doyle went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run scored in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Cardinals.

      Advice: Doyle's only involvement Wednesday was as a pinch runner, and he was caught stealing. He checked back into the lineup and swiped two bags Thursday, giving him 16 thefts on 19 attempts this season with his first successful steals since May 26. The outfielder continues to put together a decent season with a .265/.339/.408 slash line, five home runs, 16 RBI, 37 runs scored, 11 doubles and two triples over 239 plate appearances.       Marcus Stroman allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Yankees’ 8-5 victory over the Twins on Thursday.

      Advice: Stroman gave up six hits, walked two and struck out two. He didn’t qualify for the win because he was unable to complete five innings. Stroman’s ERA is 3.16 on the season, but his xFIP is significantly higher at 4.48. He’s never been a big strikeout pitcher and has benefitted from an 82 percent left on base percentage this year.       Brenton Doyle went 1-for-4 with a run scored and two stolen bases against the Cardinals on Thursday.



      Advice: The two steals give Doyle a total of 16 on the season. He’s hitting .265 with five home runs, but the speed gives him a decent amount of value in fantasy. Doyle is hitting .337 at Coors Field this year compared to just .203 on the road.       Devers was pinch-hit for in the seventh inning of Thursday's game against the White Sox, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

      Freddie Freeman walloped a three-run homer on Thursday in the Dodgers’ win over the Pirates.

      Advice: Freeman followed singles by Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani in the opening frame with a no-doubter down the right-field line off Pirates starter Bailey Falter. The 34-year-old first baseman has gone deep twice in his last four contests and is up to eight big flies on the year to go along with a .294 batting average and 38 RBI through 64 games.
