    • Deliver walk-off homer Tuesday
Busch went 2-for-4 with a walk-off solo home run in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Padres.

Advice: Busch's seventh home run of the season was his biggest to date, as he took Enyel De Los Santos deep in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Cubs to victory. The slugging first baseman has been solid with an .816 OPS across 35 games, and his seven long balls are second on the team. Busch will likely continue to sit against lefty starters, but he's an impact bat against righties. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:55 pm

    • Michael Busch hits walk-off homer vs. Padres
Michael Busch went 2-for-4 with a walk-off homer in Tuesday’s win over the Padres.

Advice: The Cubs held a 1-0 lead throughout most of this one, but a two-run homer by Jurickson Profar in the eighth gave the Padres the 2-1 advantage and put Shota Imanaga on the hook for his first loss of the season. Fortunately for Imanaga, a sacrifice fly by Christopher Morel in the bottom of the eighth inning put the Cubs in position to win it in the final frame. Busch made short work of the opportunity, hitting a leadoff homer to right off the first pitch of the inning from Enyel De Los Santos to give the Cubs the 3-2 win. It was Busch’s seventh homer of the season, as the first baseman continues to shine in his first full year of big league play. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:34 pm

    • Rough day vs. Texas
Stripling (1-6) took the loss Wednesday against the Rangers, allowing 11 runs (five earned) on 10 hits and two walks over 1.2 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: It was certainly an outing to forget for Stripling -- after allowing a leadoff homer to Marcus Semien in the first inning, the right-hander allowed the first seven batters to reach in the second as Texas would put up a 10 spot in the frame. Stripling had held opponents to three runs or fewer in four straight starts prior to Wednesday's implosion. His ERA is now up to 5.14 with a 1.57 WHIP and 29:10 K:BB through eight starts (42 innings) this year. Stripling will look to get back on track in his next outing, tentatively lined up for this weekend in Seattle. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:09 pm

    • Ross Stripling shelled for 11 runs in A’s loss
Ross Stripling was obliterated for 11 runs (five earned) over 1 2/3 innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Stripling was ostensibly forced to wear it for the Athletics on Tuesday afternoon as the Rangers torched him for 10 hits before he was mercifully lifted from the contest without escaping the second inning. The calamitous blow-up outing balloons his full-season ERA from 4.24 to a ghastly 5.14 in the process. The 34-year-old veteran righty will aim to turn things around on Sunday when he faces the Mariners up in Seattle. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:48 pm

    • Luis Rengifo (illness) not in lineup again Tuesday
Luis Rengifo (illness) remains absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Pirates.

Advice: Rengifo remains out of the lineup for the fourth consecutive contest due to illness. The versatile 27-year-old remains day-to-day for the moment. It’ll be Brandon Drury at the keystone and Cole Tucker at the hot corner once again on Tuesday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:54 pm

    • Not facing lefty
Carpenter is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Cleveland.

Advice: As customary, Carpenter will slide to the bench with southpaw Logan Allen on the mound for the Guardians. In his stead, Ryan Vilade will make his 2024 debut and handle right field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:21 pm

    • Absent from Tuesday's lineup
Bohm is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

    • Report: J.P. France could be out a while
According to The Athletic’s Chandler Rome, J.P. France is dealing with a shoulder injury that could sideline him for a while.

Advice: Well that’s not good. There hasn’t been an official transaction to put France on the injured list, but that could come soon. The 29-year-old dealt with shoulder issues during spring training, but he was still able to recover in time to make the team’s Opening Day roster. The 29-year-old posted a 7.46 ERA in his first five starts this season before the Astros demoted him to Triple-A Sugar Land. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:28 am
