    • Brady Singer fans six in tough-luck no-decision
Brady Singer was terrific in a tough-luck no-decision against the Tigers on Saturday night, racking up six strikeouts over five innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The 27-year-old hurler scattered four hits and three walks on the night. The lone tally against him came on an RBI triple off the bat of Zach McKinstry in the second inning. Singer generated eight swings and misses on 93 pitches on the night — six on his slider — while registering a CSW of 34 percent. He now boasts a 2.62 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and a 34/13 K/BB ratio over 34 1/3 innings through his first six starts. He’ll do battle against the Rangers his next time out on Friday. • Launches second homer
Arcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-2 win over the Guardians.

Advice: The shortstop crushed a Pedro Avila two-seamer over the fence in left-center field, giving Atlanta its last offense of the night in the eighth inning. Arcia has both his homers on the year in the last nine games, and he's slashing .311/.340/.478 through 97 plate appearances with nine RBI and 12 runs as he proves his 2023 resurgence was no fluke. • Punches out eight
Eovaldi didn't factor into the decision during Friday's victory over Cincinnati, giving up one earned run on three hits and five walks while striking out eight batters across six innings.

Advice: Coming off back-to-back losses, the 34-year-old righty found himself working from behind early after Elly De La Cruz walked and later stole home to score the first run of the game in the first inning. Eovaldi was able to regroup quickly and stifle the Reds' bats for the next five frames, though his struggles with limiting walks carried over from his previous start. He now owns a 3.00 ERA and 1.12 WHIP alongside a 36:17 K:BB through 36 innings in six games, and he'll look to pick up his second win of the season Thursday against the Nationals. • Nathan Eovaldi doesn’t let walks get him down
Despite walking five, Nathan Eovaldi allowed just one run over six innings Friday against the Reds.

Advice: All three hits Eovaldi allowed were singles, and he struck out eight. Eovaldi wasn’t involved in the decision, so he remains 1-2 with a 3.00 ERA through six starts. He’s due to face the Nationals next. Rotoworld Friday, 11:22 pm

    • Giancarlo Stanton getting night off on Friday
Giancarlo Stanton is absent from the Yankees’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Brewers.

Advice: The 34-year-old slugger will get a night off after starting five straight games for the Bombers. Aaron Judge will serve as the team’s designated hitter on Friday night while Trent Grisham draws a rare start in center field and will bat ninth against Colin Rea and the Brewers.
