    • Runs wild in matinee
Lipscomb went 3-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, an RBI and three stolen bases in a 6-3 win over the White Sox during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

Advice: The Nationals didn't record a single extra-base hit in the matinee, but Lipscomb had no problem getting himself into scoring position -- in addition to his 3-for-3 performance on the basepaths, he advanced to second base on a disengagement violation when he induced Chris Flexen to attempt a third pickoff in the second inning. After going 1-for-4 in the nightcap, Lipscomb is slashing .260/.339/.298 through his first 32 big-league games with one homer, 10 steals, nine RBI and 16 runs. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago
    • Ezequiel Tovar homers, doubles against Padres
Ezequiel Tovar collected his fifth homer and 11th double Tuesday in the Rockies’ 6-3 takedown of the Padres.

Advice: Tovar swings at everything and might have the worst approach of anyone in the majors, but he’s talented enough to be something close to an average hitter anyway. Through 180 plate appearances this year, he’s sporting a .275/.315/.443 line in spite of a 56/8 K/BB ratio. The modest success, and the fact that it’s rewarded by a Rockies team willing to hit him at the top of the lineup, makes it less likely that he’ll ever truly reach his potential. • Jesús Sánchez drives in game-winning run on Tueday
Jesús Sánchez went 1-for-4 with a game-winning groundout in the Marlins win over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Advice: Not exactly a thrilling way to earn a victory, but Sánchez had a hard-hit groundball in the top of the 10th inning that drove in a run and gave Miami a 1-0 lead. The 26-year-old is hitting just .237 on the season, but he’s making a lot of hard contact and his name was all over the Statcast bat speed and short swing leaderboards that came out this week. He’s a talented hitter, but he’s simply hitting too many groundballs right now. Still, he plays every game against right-handed pitching and hits in the middle of the Marlins’ lineup, so he’s a name you should keep an eye on. A slight approach change could lead to big results. • Trey Lipscomb steals three bases in Nats’ win
Trey Lipscomb went 3-for-3 with an RBI and three stolen bases in the Nationals’ win over the White Sox in the opening game of Tuesday’s doubleheader.

Advice: The unheralded 23-year-old rookie ran wild in the opening contest of Tuesday’s twin bill and is already up to 10 thefts this season in just 31 contests. He doesn’t offer enough over-the-fence pop to generate interest in shallow mixers, but the speed is going to make him a factor in deeper mixed leagues going forward, especially if he’s playing everyday for Washington. • Nico Hoerner scratched with hamstring tightness
Nico Hoerner was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left hamstring tightness.

Advice: It sounds like a precautionary measure since Hoerner was in Chicago’s original lineup, but it’s a situation fantasy managers should keep a close eye on moving forward. The 27-year-old middle infielder should be considered day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:24 pm

    • Scratched from lineup
Hoerner was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against Atlanta due to left hamstring tightness, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Hoerner was originally slated to bat leadoff for Chicago in Game 2 of its series in Atlanta, but he will now be forced to take a seat. More information on his injury will likely be provided following the contest, but in the meantime, Miles Mastrobuoni will take over at shortstop and bat eighth against Atlanta. • In lineup as DH on Tuesday
Morel (toe) will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Tuesday's game in Atlanta.

Advice: Morel had to exit Monday's contest after fouling a ball off his left foot, but he's fine. It's his first start at DH in more than a week, which will free up third base for Patrick Wisdom on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:49 pm

    • Jesse Winker remains out with back spasms
Jesse Winker (back) is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s first game of a doubleheader against the White Sox.

Advice: Winker left Sunday’s game with back spasms and the outfielder has not been able to return since. The 30-year-old will sit with Nick Senzel lining up at designated hitter and hitting sixth. Winker should still be considered day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:32 am

    • Out for Game 1
Winker (back) is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the White Sox, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Winker was removed from Sunday's game with back spasms and wasn't part of the Nationals' lineup for Monday's matchup against the ChiSox, which was postponed. While it's possible Winker could return for the nightcap Tuesday, it's more likely he'll receive the full day off. Nick Senzel will handle DH duties during Game 1. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:09 am
