    • Transferred to 60-day IL
Oakland transferred Wood (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Sunday.

Advice: Wood landed on the 15-day injured list May 13 with left rotator cuff tendinitis. He had progressed in his rehab to playing catch, but the 33-year-old southpaw will now be out of action until at least mid-July. Prior to the injury, Wood started in nine games, posting a 1-3 record with a 5.26 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 33:19 K:BB over 39.1 innings. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago

    • Mateo (concussion) takes grounders before game
Jorge Mateo (concussion) took part in infield practice prior to Sunday’s game against the Rays.

Advice: Mateo is eligible to come off the 7-day concussion injured list before Monday’s game against the Rays. The infielder obviously isn’t required to be activated off the list, but participating in pre-game activities is a good sign. If Mateo is activated, Connor Norby is all but assuredly the name that will head down to Triple-A to make room for him on the roster. Rotoworld Today, 9:27 am

    • A’s transfer Alex Wood (shoulder) to 60-day IL
Athletics transferred LHP Alex Wood from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Wood was placed on the 15-day IL on May 15, so the southpaw now won’t be eligible to return to the Athletics until after the All-Star break. The southpaw is now off the 40-man roster, and it clears room for Michel Otañez, who had his contract selected from Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Rotoworld Today, 9:23 am

    • Rejoining lineup Sunday
Suzuki (oblique) is batting second as the designated hitter Sunday against the Reds.

Advice: The 29-year-old sat out Saturday after he exited Friday's contest due to tightness in his left oblique, but he'll return to action in a non-defensive role Sunday. Suzuki is off to a hot start in June with four extra-base hits and a .286/.375/.714 slash line through six games. Rotowire.com Today, 8:28 am

    • Seiya Suzuki (side) back in lineup Sunday
Seiya Suzuki (side) is the designated hitter and hitting second against the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Suzuki missed a couple of games while dealing with tightness in his side/oblique, but he’s back in the lineup for Sunday’s tilt against Cincinnati. The outfielder has dealt with injuries over his first two-plus years in the majors, but he has shown fantasy upside when he’s in the lineup. Rotoworld Today, 7:59 am

Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, a walk, six RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 11-3 rout of the Yankees.

Advice: Hernandez got the scoring started Saturday with a solo shot to center field in the second inning. He added an RBI on a fielder's choice in the sixth before busting the game open for Los Angeles with a 424-foot grand slam in the eighth. Hernandez went just 2-for-16 over his first four games in June, but he's turned scorching hot since, going 7-for-13 with two homers and nine RBI across his past three contests. Hernandez is putting up big numbers in his first campaign with the Dodgers, slashing .262/.331/.500 with 15 homers, 47 RBI, 38 runs and four steals through 278 plate appearances. • Notches steal Saturday
Altuve went 2-for-5 with one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Altuve has been steady but not outstanding over his last 15 games, going 17-for-61 (.279) with two steals, four RBI and five runs scored in that span. He hasn't homered since May 20, taking a bit of the wind out of his sails after a strong start to the year in the power department. Overall, the second baseman is slashing .288/.340/.436 with nine homers, nine steals, 22 RBI and 37 runs scored over 64 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:34 pm

    • Improves to 7-2
Stone (7-2) earned the win over the Yankees on Saturday, allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six batters over 5.2 innings.

Advice: It looked like Stone could be in for a rough outing after he allowed singles to the first two batters he faced in the first inning, but he recovered to retire Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Rizzo without allowing a run to score. The right-hander allowed New York to plate one run in each of the following two frames, but he was able to navigate through 5.2 innings with just those two runs on his ledger. Stone needed some help when he departed with two outs and the bases full of Yankees in the sixth, and Alex Vesia provided that assistance by getting Anthony Volpe to fly out to end the threat. Stone has recorded a victory in seven of his past 10 starts and has given up more than two runs just once during that span. He's shining in his first full big-league season, recording a 2.93 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 53:21 K:BB through 67.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:27 pm

    • Tallies three hits in victory
Blackmon went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, two runs and a stolen base in a 6-5 win against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Blackmon catalyzed Colorado's offense from the leadoff spot, scoring the team's first run following a first-inning single and crossing the plate again after hitting a double and stealing third base in the seventh. The veteran outfielder has been swinging a hot bat of late, notching three multi-hit performances over his past four contests and going 9-for-16 overall during that span. Blackmon has also swiped a bag in each of his past two games and already has five thefts this season, more than he has collected in any campaign since he swiped 12 bags in 2018.
