    • Murphy: Trevor Megill didn’t fracture right elbow
      Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters late Tuesday that Trevor Megill didn’t suffer a fracture when he was hit on the right elbow by a line-drive.

      Advice: It’s an extremely encouraging update at Megill appears to have avoided serious injury after being struck directly on the right elbow by a 99-mph line-drive during Tuesday’s extra-inning showdown against the Cubs. The 30-year-old stopper is presumably day-to-day for the moment with a contusion, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he wound up requiring a trip to the injured list, just to bring in a fresh arm.       Megill was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cubs after getting hit in the right arm by a line drive, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

      Advice: Megill entered Tuesday's game in the 10th inning and threw three pitches to Mike Tauchman before getting taking a 99-mph line drive off his right (throwing) arm. Megill immediately came out of the game and will presumably head into the clubhouse for imaging. The Brewers should have more information on his status following Tuesday's contest.       Trevor Megill left Tuesday’s relief appearance against the Cubs with an apparent injury.

      Advice: Ouch. Megill was struck on the right elbow by a 99-mph line-drive off Mike Tauchman’s bat in the 10th inning of Tuesday’s showdown against the Cubs and immediately left the contest.       Kodai Senga (shoulder) played catch on the field prior to the doubleheader against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

      Advice: It’s the first time that Senga has been able to play catch since he was shut down with inflammation in his triceps. The right-hander has been on the 60-day injured list since the start of the season because of shoulder issues, and the expectation now is that Senga won’t be able to return for the Mets — and fantasy players — until around the All-Star break.     • Tracking toward return on Friday
      Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Phillips (hamstring) is on track for activation from the 15-day injured list Friday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

      Advice: Phillips struck out two batters in a perfect inning in his first rehab appearance with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday. He's slated for one rehab outing before rejoining the Dodgers for their weekend series at home against the Rockies, assuming all goes well.       Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Evan Phillips (hamstring) has a good chance to return to the Dodgers on Friday.

      Advice: Phillips has looked the part in his rehab appearances as he works his way back from the hamstring injury that has sidelined the stopper since May 5. Once back on the roster, there’s every reason to believe that Phillips will receive the bulk of the save chances for Los Angeles, with Daniel Hudson and the rest of the Los Angeles bullpen serving as a bridge to Phillips.       Winker went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's win over Atlanta.

      Advice: After being held out of Sunday's starting nine due to mild cramping in his quadriceps, Winker looked fully healthy Monday as he stole his seventh bag of the year. The 30-year-old was mired in a slump through the first half of May, but he appears to be heating up again -- over his last nine games, he's batting .296 (8-for-27) with a double, two homers, three steals, five RBI and six runs.       Senga (shoulder) may not be ready to return from the 60-day injured list until after the All-Star break, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: The right-hander has had a couple delays and setbacks during his recovery from a posterior right capsule strain. After getting a cortisone injection late last week, Senga played catch on flat ground for the first time Tuesday, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Still, the 31-year-old is essentially back to square one with his throwing program. Given that Senga will likely need about six weeks to ramp back up and get game ready, a mid-July return would seem to be the best-case scenario.       Beeks allowed a run on two hits while striking out two and earning a save in Monday's 8-6 win over the Guardians.

      Advice: Beeks closed out the victory despite giving up a run for the fourth straight appearance. During that span, his ERA has jumped from 2.11 to 3.20 through 25.1 frames. It was the first time he converted a save since May 13 and he's now five for eight in save chances this season.
