    • Carlos Rodón’fans eight over six strong vs. MIL
Carlos Rodón gave up just one run while striking out eight in six innings of work while getting a win over the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: We don’t have rooting interests, but it’s been refreshing to see Rodón look so effective over his past few starts. He allowed just two hits with one walk, and that makes 13 innings of one-run baseball over those last two outings. The injury concerns with Rodón are very real and consistency has not been his friend, but the 31-year-old absolutely has the stuff to be a dominant fantasy option. He’ll look to keep it going Thursday in a tough matchup with Baltimore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:13 pm
    • Pulled due to lack of effort
Rays manager Kevin Cash said he pulled Siri from Saturday's game versus the White Sox in the third inning due to a lack of effort, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Siri didn't show much hustle in going after an Eloy Jimenez double in the second inning and was removed for defense before the bottom of the third. Cash noted that he considers the matter closed and that there will be no carryover, so it sounds like Siri could be back in the lineup Sunday. The center fielder struck out in his lone plate appearance Saturday and has fanned at a 44.4 percent clip on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:43 pm

    • Maikel Garcia plates two, steals base in loss
Maikel Garcia went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI and a stolen base as the Royals fell to the Tigers on Saturday evening in Motown.

Advice: Garcia led off the game with a single off of Casey Mize and came around to score the game’s first run on an RBI ground ball off the bat of Vinnie Pasquantino. He then drove in a run with an RBI single in the second inning and swiped second base before being stranded there. The 24-year-old third baseman also plated a run with a ground ball in the ninth inning. With his two-hit attack, he’s now hitting .222/.277/.380 with four homers, 20 RBI and seven stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:11 pm

    • Permits one run over four frames
Parker took a no-decision in Saturday's win over the Marlins, permitting one run on six hits and two walks over four innings.

Advice: The Marlins made Parker work, particularly in the first inning when he gave up two singles, walked two and allowed a run on a wild pitch. He needed 82 pitches to cover his four frames, ultimately costing him what would have been an easy win. It was easily Parker's least impressive of his three starts so far in the majors, but he did still manage to give up just the one run. The lefty's next start is tentatively slated to come on the road versus the Rangers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:04 pm
    • Shuts down champs for first win
Greene (1-2) picked up the win in Saturday's 8-4 victory over the Rangers, allowing only one hit and one walk over seven scoreless innings while striking out six.

Advice: The Reds' bullpen made things a little more interesting, but Greene was in total control while he was on the mound, firing 63 of 98 pitches for strikes and letting only one runner even get to third base. The right-hander has two quality starts through his first six outings this season, and he'll take a 3.63 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 42:12 K:BB through 34.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Orioles. • Mitchell Parker gives up one over four vs. Marlins
Mitchell Parker allowed one run over four innings in a no-decision Saturday against the Marlins.

Advice: It’s disappointing that Parker wasn’t able to go deeper in this one, as the southpaw was given plenty of run support and would have easily qualified for the win. It was another effective outing for the 24-year-old, however, and he’s now registered an ERA of 1.69 since being promoted to the Washington rotation. He’ll face Texas on Thursday. • Hunter Greene blanks Rangers over seven in win
Hunter Greene tossed seven shutout innings with six strikeouts in a win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Greene put together his best start of the season on Saturday, spinning a gem against a tough Rangers lineup. He allowed just two baserunners on the day, walking a batter in the fourth and giving up a double in the fifth. Greene induced just six whiffs, but tossed 63-of-98 pitches for strikes to strike out six. The 24-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 3.63 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and a 42/12 K/BB ratio across 34 2/3 innings. He’ll take on the Orioles in Cincinnati on Friday. • Notches eighth save
Phillips gave up an unearned run on one hit and struck out two Saturday to record his eighth save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The closer's own throwing error with two outs put Davis Schneider aboard and led to Toronto's final run, but Phillips otherwise had little trouble sealing the victory. The right-hander is a perfect 8-for-8 in converting save chances to begin the season, and he's delivered a dazzling 0.77 ERA and 15:4 K:BB through 11.2 innings. • Evan Phillips notches eighth save on Saturday
Evan Phillips allowed one run with two strikeouts in the ninth inning against the Blue Jays on Saturday to earn the save.

Advice: Phillips was summoned with a three-run lead in the ninth against Toronto. He quickly struck out the first two batters, but put a runner on with a throwing error. A base hit would bring in a run to make it a two-run game, but Phillips would hold on to record the final out and his eighth save of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:03 pm
